We are Missouri is Awesome - a team of dreamers, believers and trucker hat wearers. Help us launch www.MissouriisAwesome.com a handcrafted line of Missouri apparel (and other awesome things) dedicated to artfully displaying the awesomeness Missouri has to offer.
By reaching our original goal of $5,000 we'll launch Missouri is Awesome with a plethora of Missouri gear, plus designs repping St. Louis and Kansas City (which will be released when we reach our goal!) Any additional money will be used to add additional cities like Columbia, Springfield, and Joplin – the possibilities are endless!
At the end of the campaign we'll send out a survey where you'll select your shirt(s), trucker hats, and/or hoodies. We're easy on exchanges so if you happen to get the wrong size you'll be able to switch it out!
ABOUT THE SHIRTS
We take awesome t-shirts seriously. All of our shirts are made in the USA and screen-printed by hand in Missouri. On nearly every shirt we use Eco-friendly, water based inks that are good for the environment and feel extremely soft on the shirts. Our inks are harder to use (which is why most printers don't use them) but the result is sure to be one of your favorite shirts.
The original Missouri is Awesome shirts were developed by the crew at 5 Pound Apparel in Springfield, Missouri.
Risks and challenges
We've been making shirts ever since we started a screen-printing company in our college living room in 2010. A few months later we got shut down - turns out it's illegal to have a screen-printing company in a residential property in the lovely city of Springfield, MO.
Now we have a business license and the capability to pump out thousands of shirts - legally! We guarantee high quality production and on-time fulfillment for every purchase.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
Yes! When the Kickstarter campaign ends we'll send out a survey through Kickstarter where you'll select which shirt you'd like and what size. It'll be simple and fun! Plus, we're really flexible on exchanges so if you happen to get the wrong size you'll be able to switch it out!
We print on American Apparel shirts which fit pretty true to size - you can check out their size chart here: http://www.americanapparel.net/sizing/default.asp…
We're also easy on exchanges so if something goes wrong we'll get you the right size!
Nope! That's the great thing about Kickstarter. They want us to raise enough money to launch our project successfully. If we don't reach $5,000 then you won't get charged and your shirts won't be send. And we'll cry a little.
Yes! At the end of the campaign you'll be able to pick your shirt design/size and you can choose XS, XXXL or XXXXL. If we get enough requests for those sizes we'll include them on the Missouri is Awesome website as well!
Kickstarter doesn't allow multiple pledges, but if you want multiple rewards that aren't in the same package, just shoot us a message and we'll give you instructions. Basically, you would just combine the amounts of the 2 items you'd like, pledge that amount and just send us a message to let us know!
Yes, yes it is.
We want to make sure we're able to fulfill all the orders from Kickstarter so we're limiting city specific designs to 9 (St. Louis, Kansas City, Springfield, Columbia, Joplin, Jefferson City, Branson, Cape Girardeau, and Rolla). However, when we launch our website we'll have a section where people can vote for certain designs and the designs that get the most votes will get printed! We'll also have a "submit your idea" section.
