RADIO INTERVIEW featuring this project from last week! (link below) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UwAEYPmca1U
*Thanks to a generous Schlitz collector an authentic "Schlitz" beer label will be included with every Schlitz book at every price point!
"Schlitz, Brewing Art" is a photography book featuring the historic Schlitz Brewery in Milwaukee, WI. In the above video I display, briefly, a current ROUGH DRAFT of the intended book, what you see is subject to change as this project is in the works.
The final book to be published will be hard cover and 9x12, The book will contain around 160 photographs and be around 190 pages. The highest paper weight and quality paper will be used. A dust Jacket will be included as well. Pertinent facts are included concerning each building, as-well- as, select photographs taking you through the history of Schlitz and incorporating quotes from historic leaders of the Schlitz Brewery. Inclusive, with the book, is a narrative CD around 80 min long and features a few former Schlitz employees discussing the brewery as it once was. The CD also includes original music created for the book. A perfect listening companion while reviewing this book.
These photographs give a fantastic look into these historic buildings of the past.
I will need $7000 to reach my printing goal. Each book will be hand numbered and author signed. Barnes and Noble has shown high interest in carrying this book on a regional level as well as local book stores. This book will likely make local news via television, radio and the local paper!
It's my goal to publish these books hopefully by September if I receive the support. If I do not hit the goal this project will not happen.
The book's text and translation will be edited by Jessica Hermanny.
The interview CD included features previous employees talking about the brewery as they saw it. Also, included are a few original songs written specifically for the book by Labware and few other local artists.
Thank you for your interest and support! Please visit my website to see some of the photographs or look at my previously published Pabst book. lakecountryphoto.com

Risks and challenges
There are risks and challenges with every project. This is my second book, the first being "Pabst, An Excavation of Art" Successfully funded last year around this time through kickstarter. I learned a lot, but every person who ordered and helped fund my first book through kickstarter received what they ordered perfectly on time and I anticipate this will go exactly the same. I've learned a bit about book making and hope to make this the best quality book yet.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
