Scientists know Antimatter exists, but only for a fraction of a second before total annihilation. But where does it come from-- and is there a whole other Universe made of it? A "Left-handed" version to our "Right"? Do molecules and DNA coil the opposite way there? Are Love and Hate reversed too? Mike Hoffman supplies the answers in the final, fifth concluding issue of his comic book series "Minister Sinister"!
On Anti-Terra, Earth's antimatter counterpart, Society is in decay. The High Ministers meet to address the problem-- increasing random outbreaks of kindness. A "Neutrino Technology Spell" enables only one agent, Minister Sinister, to visit Earth to harvest our criminals and deviants. He swaps places with a regular minister who runs a Thrift store. Arriving in a steel dumpster one night, and apparently hit by lightning, the "old" Minister Sylvester seems very different to his flock. And to little Timmy and Beth Nelson.
We all know about Duality--we live it every day. Good & Evil, Light & Dark, Love & Hate, Up & Down. But what's an Antimatter world's "Duality" like-- The Addams Family? Does Duality have its own Duality? And do the people of Bergenberg at all grasp what's been happening since the arrival of this weird visitor?
All the threads get tied together in the final 20-page issue, then it's collected into a single volume. Creator Mike Hoffman has sworn on a stack of Anti-Terran Bibles to spill all the beans, no matter how shocking or ugly the truth might be.
Bergenberg is a town in a coma, demoralized and slipping downhill. Strip clubs like "The Stallion Barn" offer the only available work for women like Beth Nelson. Street gangs run wild, crime is on the rise. A now-aged 1930s superhero named Samson plots to destroy the new Minister. Sinister's recruits keep getting rejected by the Ministry. Death, Sex, Alcohol, Breast Implants, Trailer parks in a mix of rocking action and scary weirdness!
This book collects 80 pages of story plus at least another 20, combined with some of the weirdest and coolest Rewards ever.
Not only will the book be available in Hardcover, but as a lower-priced Softcover too. And we're getting reward items from the actual characters, like "Underpass Messiah", aka Ralphy Omega, who's signing strips of the very same duct tape used to strap cases of cheap beer to his back. It's some pretty shaky handwriting, for sure!
New Original Art pages will go the higher backers, as will the cover art itself. Hardbacks will be offered with special Mike Hoffman Remarque drawings on the inside front page. We've got laminated "Bergenberg Citizen ID Cards" with your name on it for your purses & wallets, and you may opt to actually be drawn into the story as a Bergenberger!
Other rewards include actual Production art, plus idea & character sketches and script pages--all signed--real Bubble Gum Cards, plus actual 2" used pencil stubs from the Hoffman drawing table itself. And you've never seen anything like luminous "Magic-Glo" Art Prints.
"Minister Sinister" is unique, simultaneously hitting the heights of "Art" while dredging the very lowest levels of filth and depravity. You may laugh, you may feel sick, you may be emotionally moved-- but you will never, ever forget the ending.
Risks and challenges
80 pages are complete, and Mike Hoffman is already producing the additional work to complete the project. Barring large meteorites or random antimatter annihilations, this project will be completed in 2015!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
