Throughout the expanse of time, humanity has marveled at the majestic wonder of winged creatures who have inhabited the natural world. "Anela en Rouge" (The Angel in Red) is a captivating, experimental dance documentary, in which Nannette Rogers-Kennedy shares the story of losing her mother, who before death, promises to come back to visit her as a Cardinal. Two weeks later, her mother keeps her promise in the most profound and undeniable way, proving that our love for one another transcends the boundaries of life and death. Featuring music by renown British composer, Max Richter, who’s film work includes Ari Folman’s 2007 Golden Globe winning “Waltz with Bashir” and Martin Scorsese’s “Shutter Island,” “Anela en Rouge” is heart stopping experience that can change your perception of death.
The film is near completion and simply needs funding assistance to purchase the license for the incredible music by Max Richter. Max Richter is a renown composer who scored Golden Globe Winning Waltz with Bashir, and who's song "On the Nature of Daylight" is in Martin Scorsese's film, "Shutter Island." (You can find out more about Max here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Max_Richter.)
I was originally using Max Richter's music as a temp score to cut the film and would later have it re-scored by a colleague of mine until I had a revelation. His music adds such deep emotion to the choreography, production value, and enduring artistic value to the piece and that I needed to make every effort to keep it intact.
His publishers and master owners have been very supportive and generous in agreeing to a price that is within reach. Please help me finish the film by purchasing a perpetuity license for the music in the film!
