What is TanMeOn?
With TanMeOn t-shirts, you will get tanned underneath the clothing. Our sports shirts are made of cotten/polyester material with pores that allow UV rays to reach the skin despite its opaque nature. Thus, you get evenly tanned underneath the t-shirt.
The TanMeOn Sport shirts are designed for all outdoor enthusiasts who do not want to have tanned forearms, face, neck and a white upper body when they take off their T-shirt. This "Tennis Players tan" or "Farmers Tan" is reduced to a minimum by TanMeOn shirt.
- The skin gets tanned underneath the T-shirt.
- Functionality tested byindependent Hohenstein Institut
- Designed as a sports shirt and leisure shirt for tennis, jogging, soccer, cycling, hockey, etc.
- Reduces tanning marks to a minimum (Tennis Player's tan/ farmers tan)
- Also ideal for vitamin D deficiency
- 100% made in Germany
Features of the Shirts
You don’t like tan lines from your shirt after an active day in the sun? Neither do we. Get a healthy looking suntan without worrying about strong tan lines from your shirt. TanMeOn tan through t-shirts are made of a fabric that allows sunrays to get to your skin. Thereby you get a nice tan, despite of wearing a T-Shirt.
Our sports shirts are made of a patented material with pores that allow UV rays to reach the skin leading to a natural suntan underneath the shirt. Yet, the material has a basic sun protection of SPF of 6 tested by Hohenstein Laboratories for textile testing. The material is made of 40% cotton and 60% polyester.
Special Hem for Maximum Tan
We focussed on creating an extremely thin hem on sleeves and round the neckline for maximum tan. (Important, as the material is not tan through on the hem).
Made Under Fair Working Conditions in Germany
The TanMeOn shirts are entirely manufactured in Germany with fair wages. We lay great emphasis on quality workmanship and a perfectly-fitting cut. Yes, our shirts could be cheaper if we would produce in Asia. However, we like to know who is manufacturing our shirts and that everyone is happy when creating the shirts. Furthermore, we support local businesses.
Is this your tan?
If you find yourself or one of your friends in the pictures above, you should really try our shirts. We looked excactly like this after a long sunny day on the court. Farmers tan like this led to the invention of TanMeOn Shirts. Since apparently we are not the only people struggling with tan lines, we want ask for help through kickstarter to make this shirt available arround the world.
The different cuts:
TanMeOn Shirts are available in round neck, v-neck and as a polo for men and as a roundneck for woman. (Yes we know it`s not fair, but apparently men are more often ending up with farmers tan... I wonder why...)
Included with every shirt for our supporter: The tandicator bracelet
The tandicator is a quick way to check you current tan.
What do we need support for?
We are currently running on a very small flame. We invest our earnings from selling shirts 100% in the production of new shirts. Still we can not really expand as we can not affort produce more shirts upfront. Furthermore we can`t really invest in the creation of new products as we need all capital to keep the current business running.
New Shapes and Colours
If we get funded, we will create new shapes (like a tank-top for basketball players, a special cycle jersey, ...) and offer different colours for the existing shapes. (We would love to offer them in green and red but that is currently just too much stock required.
We allready get many many request fom across the world which we currently can not match as we can not produce as many products (with local needs) as reuired. We badly need to get our product descriptions and marketing materials corretly translated into various languages.
Furthermore we will be offer to develop new products from our material like the tan through socks we (as tennis players) would have needed so bad this summer allready.
Risks and challenges
Our biggest challenge is currently to estmate the demand for the next year. If the request for shirts increases as it currently does, we need to start way earlier with the production as we did in the past.
To master this challenge we will get some external help to calculate and plan the next season.
