We've Finally Dreamed Up an Update!
We thought we’d take a moment to highlight a few issues that have been raised in various comments sections.
Free promo pack
We will launch a pledge for Promo pack soon. You will just have to pay the shipping and processing fees.
The promos do not add any essential gameplay elements to the game. We have voluntarily chosen to create promos that do not add anything essential to the gameplay of the game. We are not looking to create a disadvantage for those who have already purchased the game. The Imaginarium box sold as is, is totally complete. These promos are merely little extras to bring a little fun.
Promos are free. Their production price is at our expense and does not impact the price of the game.
This is not a premium box. It was just easier to store the promos directly in the game box, rather than making separate plastic wrappers.
If the KS is not funded, the games will not be printed, nor will the promos. This is because the financing of production depends on the total number of boxes being produced. In short, we need to reach a certain number of sales in order to make production financially viable.
Unusual KS Use
This game is already available in many places around the world, and for some it’s easy to get at retail. This KS is not aimed at those who are already able to obtain the game; this is for those who can’t. We did not, nor do we intend this campaign to be about stretch goals and the other usual KS conventions. We are not trying to compete with retail, we just want to expand the game’s availability.
Some have been wondering why it will take several months to deliver a game that is already out. During the first print, we printed a certain amount of English boxes, according to the orders of our distributors, but it wasn’t economically wise to print a large quantity without being sure of our market. With funds from the Kickstarter we will finance the next printing and we will have a more precise idea of the quantities to produce. These few months are not the time of development or finalization; they represent the time needed to produce and transport the game. Here is a more detailed schedule:
30 May: Kickstarter ends
30 May to 30 June: Kickstarter takes their payment, charges are issued, and any payment problems are resolved. Survey is sent to backers to confirm their information. During that time, files are sent to the manufacturor. We go back and forth to approve the files
4 July: Production goes on
End of August: Goods are ready to ship
Beginning of October: Goods are delivered to the port according to the location of the different hubs, USA, Europe, Australia and Asia
Middle of October: Goods are delivered to the hubs
November: Goods are delivered to you
Pledge for 2 to 6 boxes
We found a solution for pledgers who are not retail and who would like to pledge more than 1 box. As we will not do a Pledge manager, you have to fill in the amount when you pledge. To have more information, click here.
