Love, support, and logo ¡Olé!
GREAT NEWS TO SHARE: Not only are we now at $3,145, 62% of our goal, 55 backers and counting, but the Spanish Consulate in New York has also come onboard and declared their official love and support for The Doors Project. ¡Muchísimas gracias, España! GUAU, ESTOY EMOCIONADA.
Special thanks to Íñigo Ramírez de Haro and Águeda Sanfiz at the Consulate, who also sent out a beautiful press release to Spanish journalists in the U.S. and Spain about the project. If you have contacts in the media, please let me know and I'll forward you a copy of the press release to share with your friends. Don't forget to get the word out through social media too--YOU'VE got a lot of power to open "The Doors."
WE'RE GETTING SO MUCH CLOSER, but we're not there yet: we've only got 10.5 days and $1,855 to go to make our goal. Reminder: we need to make at least $5,000 by September 8, 3.54pm or we don't get a dime! Please keep spreading the word, so this exciting project can happen!!
THERE'S NO PLACE LIKE HOME...Kickstarter's now featuring us in the rotation for their home page. Wow, what an honor! Shoutouts to Sarah Courteau for the alert!
A FINAL THANKS to each of you for your incredible support and inspiring words. You have no idea how much your support has meant! I hope this update finds each of you on the East Coast safe and riding out the hurricane with friends and loved ones.
I leave you with a fabulous door photo sent in from María Cruz Planchuelo. --Send me your doorway photo and I'll include it here in future updates! :) Doesn't have to be from any exotic or fancy local, either--doorways right near or even in your house will do. Extra credit for putting the local equivalent of "You Here" on a sign or somewhere in the photo. Keep 'em coming, can't wait to see yours...
