Eye for an Eye is an innovative, realtime or turn based, dice driven game of arena combat for 2 to 6 players. Roll your dice, allocate them to actions on your player board and tribal cards and then call these out to resolve them on the board. Move cleverly across the arena, dancing around your opponents, build up for a strong attack, or pepper your enemy with quick ones. Play for your Tribe, or team up with another Chief or two, combo-ing your abilities with each other to devastating effect. With five different gameplay modes, all available in both realtime and turn based modes, replayability is huge.

We have added a lot of content to the game since our first go on Kickstarter earlier in the year. You now have the option of playing in either REALTIME or TURN BASED modes in one of five of the different GAMEPLAY MODES:
- Every Eye for Themselves Arena
- Alliances Arena
- Nymphlet Ceremony
- King of the Hill
- Domination Mode

In REALTIME mode, you can then keep rolling, or call out and resolve an action. Remember, there are no turns.
In TURN BASED mode, once you've allocated all your dice, you grab a TURN ORDER MARKER. Once all players have grabbed one, you move onto the TURN PHASE.
In REALTIME mode, there are no turns, so you can call out and resolve an action whenever you like.
In TURN BASED mode, you need to wait until it is your turn to call out and resolve actions (up to two actions).
In REALTIME mode, you can then start rolling those dice as soon as the action is fully resolved.
In TURN BASED mode, you may need those dice to roll for an attack or defence. Once the action is then fully resolved, set the dice aside for the next round.

Players can choose to play Eye for an Eye in either Realtime, or Turn Based mode. Each of the different game modes can be played in either of these modes.
Every Eye for Themselves Arena sees you fight against the other players with the Chief that has essentially done the most damage winning the round.
Alliances sees you team up with up to two other Chiefs to coordinate your moves and fight against another team or teams. The most effective team will win the round.
Nymphlet Ceremony has you controlling one or more Nymphlets (dragonfly like creatures) as well as your Chief. Your goal is to keep your Nymphlets out of harms way while capturing your opponents. This mode introduces a different style of play that isn't just combat.
In King of the Hill you want to control an important section of the arena and then while you're in it, trigger the scoring mechanism. This mode of play focuses on movement and positioning and will see you and your opponents manipulating each other to ensure that you are the only one that scores.
Domination mode uses changing objectives throughout the game as the scoring mechanism. When the trigger in the soundtrack sounds, the designated area scores and a new one is drawn.
As you can see in the above image, the figures in Eye for an Eye are quite chunky and beautifully sculpted by Bob Olley. We have produced physical sculpts rather than going with digitally sculpted files because we love the quality and depth of Bob's work.
The sculpted base is 40mm flat to flat to provide stability during the realtime matches. None of these figures are at any risk of being knocked over.
We believe that the rulebook should always be available from the start. So please go ahead and download it, read through it and ask any questions that you might have. We have also provided Print and Play files to give you a taste of how it plays out if you would like to give it a crack!

The very first game published in this series - Dawn: Rise of the Occulites, also takes place at the very beginning of the saga, a long time before Eye for an Eye. This narrative, scenario based skirmish game allows you to step in as Tribe Chief of your own Occulite Tribe. Powered by the Natural Selection Deck and sporting 19 scenarios, it has a metric tonne of replayability.

This allows us to ensure that we charge an accurate amount for shipping. Risks and challenges
Darwin Games has been involved in the manufacturing phase for two games previously - Dawn: Rise of the Occulites (along with Eagle Games) and Survival - Frogs of South Eastern Australia. Based on these experiences and extensive research, we are confident that we are well equipped to handle this process.
We have already paid for all of the art, figure sculpting and soundtrack creation in advance (and these components are all complete). We have also been in regular communication with our chosen manufacturer pre checking files and component details. This is in an effort to ensure that the project minimises the chances for any delays and so that we can get it into manufacturing as soon as possible after the campaign ends.
Having said that, there is always the possibility of delays occurring. Shipping times and getting through customs can cause delays as can the length of time with manufacturing, especially in regards to the tooling of the figures. We have put a realistic timeline on production, but will always be striving to deliver as early as we can. We want to see the finished game in our hands too!
We have been in contact with fulfilment services who will be prepared to ship the game when it gets to them.
