      Hiya,

      Should we be getting an update soon?

      What’s the new estimated delivery date?

    4. The Enigma Box Creator on May 10

      @ensis1981

      Thanks for the comments, we really appreciate your constructive feedback, there is always room for improvement. We are not perfect 😉

      Those examples of scenes were our first version of 360 (put together 2 moths ago), they weren't of the best quality, but we had to publish them to give backers some visual ideas about the project. Since then we have polished the 360 scenarios and they do look better. Our Apps (Android & iOS) have been sent to App Stores and we are waiting for approbation.

      Just to add, we have already manufactured the boxes' structure we are very happy with the results. Very soon we will be publishing a new update with pictures and info.

      Once again, thanks for your comments and help, very much appreciated!

      Hi,
      we agree because we understood well the direction of the project and I happy about it! Nothing to say about the quality of the 360° scenes.. our criticism (intended as a constructive one) are all about the "raw" integration of the puzzle elements that seem in contrast with the beauty of the 360° scenery! Is very simple to smooth the puzzle/clue/object's images to fit them as "part of the scenery" with a little photoshop editing.

      SPOILER:

      For example: the five clock on the little bridge, they seem to float around without any sense.. you could resolve this by fixing the clock against a wall to make them more credible and apply some little shadow in the outline; or again, the 3 letters (PLS) under the statue on the bridge are instead better implemented in the scenery than the cat,goose,squirrel at the bottom of the fountain (that's we're talking about when we said "made with Paint by a children" ), or the many keys on the wall in the hallway, with some few filter and color correction they can seem A LOT more realistic and integrated in the background!!!

      Hoping we explained a little better this time. Thanks for the clarification anyway, and keep it up with your good work!!

    6. The Enigma Box Creator on May 9

      @ensis1981

      Hi!

      We are using a specific 360 software to create different scenarios in the game, not the Paint software (it would be impossible to do it!) and we published only examples of the scenarios (you will have a better integration in the App). Bear in mind that “The Enigma Box” is a Board game with many riddles, technologies (augmented reality, virtual reality, 3D printing, NFC Chips, etc.) and numerous different objects. Virtual Reality is only a part , not the game itself, We are not designing and programming a HTC or Oculus game, we are designing a game experience that uses 360 scenarios to enrich the way you play.

      Thanks,

      The Enigma Box Team

      Hi,
      me and some other backer have a concern: the overall quality of the VR scenes showed as example.. well, do they represent the quality of the final product? Or you had show us them before the proper graphic editing of the puzzle's elements in the scene?

      It just our opinion that they seem "done by amateurish at most, or children in some cases", like they're made with a cut and paste from Winows95's Paint software?

      Thanks

      Hi!

      As you can see in our last update our delivery time has changed to June. This minor delay is caused by one of our providers (3D figures) therefore we had to postpone delivery until next month.

      All our other providers are keeping their deadlines, and with no delays from our side, we are pretty confident that we will start delivering the boxes in June.

      Thanks and apologies for this inconvenience.

      I am really sorry to hear you are not happy with the French translation. Being honest we had so little time to prepare and deliver Christmas gift and we chose the translator who turned out to be not very good. Our mistake, apologies. We are going to contract another, professional translator to deal with the box text to avoid further problems. We will do our best to deliver a perfect French version!

      Once again we apologize for this issue.

      Thanks,

      I've finished the christmas gift and it was very pleasant to solve, but I'm also worried about the translation. I've received the french version and it wasn't very professional. there were missing words, typo and syntax errors... Did some french native people read your work?
      I'm hopping it was only because of the rush for the christmas gift, but can you assure me that the translation will be better for the enigma box?

      Hi,

      Right now we are working on all creativities , App, Virtual reality scenarios, augmented reality objects, etc. We will begin to print them in April.

      In our next update (2 weeks time) we will publish digital formats of some final creative components , a VR scenario (part of it as we don’t want to reveal the VR places), and an AR object , all that to give you some idea about the whole progress.

      Thanks,

      @id342

      Hi!

      Roughly every 3 weeks we will post a status update to keep you informed on the overall progress.

      We are going to do the first status update on Wednesday 14th. At the moment we are working on the most complex part of the project: the virtual reality scenarios, augmented reality objects and App (Android and iOS). Our pace is pretty good, no delays.

      At the same time we are in touch with our manufacturers, double checking all measurements, materials and the whole productions process.

      Thanks,

      The Enigma Box Team

    32. id342 on February 7

      When will we get another (perhaps more detailed and with pictures and such) update.

    33. The Enigma Box Creator on February 7

      @Benjamin Roberts

      Hi, We had to follow KS's rules therefore we had only 1 month to launch and fund our campaign. All sales were closed after that deadline.

      We wanted to introduce our project to a wider audience so we moved to Indiegogo. Raising more money will allow us to unlock new stretch goals (we unlocked Amulet thanks to Indiegogo backers) and fund some of our future projects. Also, it is a good chance for those, who missed our campaign on KS ( quite a few backers contacted us about it) to buy our boxes.

      Proud to say that Indiegogo contacted us directly asking to join InDemand, because they though our project was original.

      Thanks,

      The Enigma Box Team

      Hi,

      First we need to have all surveys returned to us, some backers haven't done it yet so we are waiting for them. We will be able to charge shipping costs as soon as all surveys are done and closed, hopefully it will not take too long (2 weeks).

      Thanks,

      Hi Iris,

      The Tshirts and rings are numbered (1-4). These numbers will help you to indicate the right box. The numbers also appear in the following questions so I hope once you started filling in the survey, you would find it more clear and straightforward.

      If you have more doubts, send us an email to info@theenigmabox.com

    40. Iris Köpke on January 31

      we´ve orderd a pay3-get4-Pledge and I´ve seen in the pledge-manager, that I can choose for every T-shirt and Ring the size but how do you know which size belongs to which box?

    41. The Enigma Box Creator on January 30

      @LilRuub

      Hi! Our NFC ring holds clues needed to unlock some extra content. But also, the ring itself is a cool accessory to have if you want to store some other personal data e.g. health info, payment options etc.

      If you lose the ring you will still be able to play the game, access all riddles and puzzles with our App. However if you buy a ring from e.g. Amazon, it will not work with the game, simply because it will not contain specific data needed to unlock riddles.

      Thanks,

      The Enigma Box Team

      Can you provide a larger image for the ring sizing chart? It is not readable.

    45. The Enigma Box Creator on January 28

      @James Lodolce

      Hi,

      NFC ring will give you access to some extra content of the game, however you will not need it to finish the game.

      Only Delux box owners will benefit from using the ring (and that extra content) throughout the challenge. It is still a cool accessory to have and use for your own private purposes ( you can store different data, e.g. medical information, on it).

      Only some of historical documents are included in Standard box. If you would like to have all of them then you could buy them with pledge manager as an addon.

      Thanks!
      The Enigma Box

    50. The Enigma Box Creator on January 25

      @€rwin

      Hi!

      You are going to have an App with your box, it will help you throughout the game in many ways (managing the progress, completing the levels, giving access to VR scenarios, etc.).

      The deluxe App is much more advanced, it would need a lot of time to be developed using cutting edge tech resources. We are actually talking here about many thousand of pounds...And this is the reason we decided to keep it as a stretch goal. Sadly it hasn't been achieved, which is a shame.

      Thanks
      The Enigma Box team
