Signature pledge upgrade: Join the 'thank you' listing in the book itself
The project goes well thanks to you! Every push of a social media button raises visibility and every post on a forum attracts new eyes. We're also grateful, of course, to each of you for opening your wallet and helping us with your pledge. As we've said, pledges outside the book itself are the best for raising art meter funding, and covering the art is our central goal. Therefore we'd like to give you something extra in return for those extra pledges.
Thank-you credit in the collector's edition
Note the cute little change in what you get with author signatures!
That's right, any pledge to a 'SIGNATURES/THANKS' level will now get you thanked by name on a special page for our Kickstarter backers! It will say something like 'Thanks to all our Kickstarter backers including:' or, perhaps, credit you as 'Dukes and Duchesses of Fabled Lands:' (being Rank 10 characters). The page will appear in the entire print run of this collector's edition.
If you've already pledged for signatures, then thank you! If not, would you be interested in raising your pledge? Do remember that pledges are not cumulative and so each pledge level lists everything in it: if yours does not include the words 'SIGNATURES/THANKS' then either choose another level or add on €15 to your existing amount by clicking the blue 'Manage' button at the top of your page.
We are already amazed by your generosity, and we hope to make the best book we can!
Speaking of which, we're glad to see the art meter nudge above one more piece of eighth page art.
We're still not quite to the top of the art meter, and there are a few more marks off the right-hand side (as indicated by the legend at the bottom). Can you help us get there?
Other projects you may enjoy
These two are in a special situation, with neither still funding but for different reasons.
The Frankenstein Wars. This successful project is of particular relevance, being written by Paul Gresty and conceived by Dave Morris. It's an app gamebook based on an alternate version of our own world with a certain evocative problem (see: the title). They've woven in mechanics afforded by computer technology like weather effects, time effects, and an interactive map. As they just barely hit their funding goal, any dropped pledges thereafter (such as credit card problems) will mean they are underfunded, so your help is still needed: visit their pre-order page if you missed the campaign.
Vanquisher. We've come to Kickstarter for good games and good art. Here we find a board and card game (mostly cards) with a visual style that feels just right, and it looks like a lot of thought has gone into the play mechanics for claiming new territory and gathering resources. Regrettably, they will need to relaunch this project; so if you like what you see then be sure to follow them on Facebook and Twitter.
. . . Enjoy your weekend!
