Iyeoka Ivie Okoawo is a Nigerian American slam poet, soul-singer and songwriter reaching out to her TriBE for a grassroots effort to raise the funds needed to complete her upcoming album set to be released in the fall.
We have reached the final mile of Iyeoka's album project! Iyeoka is presently in the studio with LA based producer David Franz and Boston based producer Francis Phan. The self titled album will be released under Indi-label Underground Sun. Money raised will be used strictly for the music production, marketing and promotion of this album. Your financial support would play a critical role in helping propel Iyeoka and her music to national visibility. One of Iyeoka's latest singles "The Yellow Brick Road Song" just a few month ago was placed on an episode of the new HBO series "How To Make It In America". The song and the messages on the show couldn't have been a better fit for this rising star. Iyeoka is currently on tour and blogs regularly on www.iyeoka.com about her journey and hopes to continue to spread her messages of significant uplift to people who like her, discovered that now is the time to take the greatest leap of a lifetime and start LIVING your passion. In her own words Iyeoka speaks of the grassroots approach to building a TriBE and a movement and about our campaign: How To Make 100% of Iyeoka's Dreams Come True In Under 90 Days!

Hello TriBE!
Iyeoka here,
Just wanted to share some words...
I've watched this story unravel--watching my dreams come to focus for 10 years now. An overnight success I am not and I am perfectly ok with that. One of my mentors recently told me to savor this part of the journey--because these are going to be the moments we all look back on and remember when. Like remember when our struggle was in full force and we didn't know HOW we would make it and we didn't know WHEN we would make it but we KNEW that it was POSSIBLE.
This feels real.
I'm living this and breathing this now. I'm going all in.
As many of you know I’ve been traveling between LA and Boston recording and writing new songs for my album due this fall. I feel incredible momentum right now on this road and I really need your help to keep it going!
Thanks to the 34 trips, 170+ hours of travel, collectively between the east coast and west coast, I have found my perfect creative match and incredible support from my producers David Franz and Francis Phan. These 2 guys are truly experts in the process of manifesting music and they really believe in me and what we can all accomplish together.
Even with the lift of our passion, perseverance and resources, we currently have insufficient funds to properly master, market and distribute this album independently. As of right now, the only people who have heard all of our new music are the people who come to shows and YOU, and anyone who happened to check out the 3rd episode of HBO's "How To Make It In America"...we are now ready to reach an even greater audience. By releasing this new album, I am officially launching this career that lived only in my dreams, I have really high hopes about the impact this music can make.
By our calculations, we need to raise $10,000 to cover the production, mastering, marketing and distribution and even a bit of the Bi-costal travel to help me get to where I need to go to complete and promote the album. It is not cheap.
So we need to raise $10,000 to make this all happen! If you help us, you get cool things! Like a pre-order of our full album! You can say you knew me before anyone else did and have an original TriBe funded album. I am also going to do cool things like write poems, include your name as commissioner of my first ever book of poetry and even play a show for you! (Even if you live somewhere far, if the pledge is right, I will definitely do it.) But if we don't reach our goal, nobody pays anything. And we can't really release our record in the way we know is the best way, and that will make us not smile as we ponder what could have been if only we had...a little more.
Please help us out, and thanks so much for giving me your time!
I really do believe in the movement that is happening with this music and its empowering intentions to soar into the arms of a mainstream audience. I hope that you will be a part of creating this next level for me.
TONS of love and a thousand thank you’s for all the encouragement, emails, texts, fb comments, i-likes and real hugs that has already brought me this far!
There is no road map for this road i’m on. just faith.
Spread the word, pass it on, tRibe uP!!!
manifesting.
