What is Bungee Bath
Bungee Bath is an ergonomically designed strap for all your bottles in the shower or the tub. No more tripping or dropping the bottle of shampoo. Our sleek, contoured Bungee Bath cord keeps these items right at hand. Just grab and use the bottle when needed.
The dual elastic band creates a firm grip around any bottle in your shower. No more clutter. It is like having a spa at home with Bungee Bath!
Bungee Bath is not only practical, it's extremely easy to apply. Attach the Bungee Bath strap using the polymer pad supplied with it. Bungee Bath attaches to any smooth surface. No muss, no fuss!

The development process
It started with two elastic hair bands on a nylon string attached to a suction cup! It ended up as a flexible strap in silicone as shown here.
Suction cups (regardless of size) do not stick. After having tested quite a few of them as well as other fastening systems, we realized that we had to come up with our own fastening pad. We call it a ThorPad.
A ThorPad combines the mushroom-shape of the conventional suction cup with the amazing adhesive properties of modern polymers. The sticky side is not a glue but a special polymer (SEBS) that leaves no residues. The pad is made of a flexible but very sturdy technical polymer (TPE).
It is easy to re-apply the ThorPad, just clean it in soap and water and it is good to go.
Timeline
The blue Bungee Bath and the ThorPad shown are made in prototype molds. The next step is to make real production molds. For that we need to invest some money.
When developing a product anything can happen. However, as our prototypes are working very well, we are confident that we can make the Bungee Bath as promised..
Risques et défis
We have tested the prototypes made in the right materials - and they work very well. Although the surface finish is not 100% what we want (it's a bit rough), we are sure we can get it when we move into real production tooling. We have an established working relationship and formal quote with a factory in China. They can produce the required molds, so the minute we’re funded, we can start rolling out.
