Our Lookouts Have Reported Back! + PledgeManager Update
The courier arrived with fresh intelligence and artifacts. The Zeds were out there, and what we saw before us was intensely studied....
At VPG HQ in Southern California, the “white box” sample of the Dawn of the Zeds reprint arrived. If you don’t know, a “white box” sample is just that -- a white game box showing the correct dimensions and component quality, filled with white versions of every card, counter, player aid, rules book, etc. inside the box. The plastic tray insert was also included (although black, which provided some welcome contrast). In a separate container were large sheets of paper rolled together; when unfurled they presented all of the printing that we would see affixed to those white components during our next inspection turnaround. This is our chance to check type, match colors, etc.
We have been proofing diligently all that was sent (and requesting the bits that were not; this often happens, the printer might forget a sheet or something and have to send it separately). Naturally, we want to be very careful at this stage and adopt a “measure twice, cut once” approach.
Meanwhile, on PledgeManager, the $79 tier is now available as an add-on exclusively for Kickstarter backers.
