THE STORY: The Mouth-Watering Adventures of Bacon will take readers on a king-sized comic book adventure power-packed with action, conspiracy and intrigue starring the pork Kwai Chang Caine, Bacon!
Targeted for elimination by a mysterious madman and a radical
vegetarian group, Bacon must call upon his past experience as a New York City
beat cop to survive. Victory, however, will only come from Bacon’s ability to
fully embrace the sense of calm and selflessness that has eluded him for so
The book will be flavor-packed with intrigue, fistfights, drama, activities, humor and, of course, Bacon.
FUNDING: The Funding amount goes to the production of the 48 page Bacon comic book. That includes $ for the artist(s) to keep the lights on as well as the printing and shipping of the book.
We plan to have 5,000 copies printed. There will be 3,500 standard editions with a cover drawn by the chosen artist; 1,125 copies of a "Sponsorable" Variant cover edition, and a Super-Rare "Chase" cover edition limited to 375 copies. We are also printing up 50 Ashcan editions of Bacon to be signed by the chosen artist and the writer. Bacon will be printed in the United States.
If we exceed our goal and hit $27,600, the comic will be printed in full color.
VOTING: After you pledge, just post the name of the artist you want to draw Bacon in the Comments Section. In the unlikely event that the most-voted artist cannot fulfill their duties, the first runner up will receive the project.
Actual completion date will be determined by the chosen artist at the close of the funding. As the project progresses I'll keep everyone informed via the Bacon Facebook and Kickstart Update pages.
STATUS: The plot is written. The printing quotes are in. Each artist has provided a character concept sketch. All we need now, is you.

While comics can be created with a minimum amount of people, to get a book
printed, to have a project live in the thrill of paper -- it takes many. It
