Prohibition Bakery, New York City's original alcoholic cupcake company, is finally opening its doors.
In May 2012, after a year of working our way through the cupcake catering scene in NYC, we signed a lease on a cute little brick & mortar space on 9 Clinton Street. Sadly, unforeseen construction issues have delayed our opening by months. (We've been moonlighting at the kitchen seen in the video during the interim.)
Our original budget was reappropriated from equipment and ingredients to construction fees amounting to triple what we had budgeted. Now, we must find a way to get everything in order to stay open, so we can get you the boozy cupcakes you so desperately need!
The money raised will go directly towards our opening expenses and first month's inventory, remaining equipment, opening fees and permits, and delivery vehicles. We are so close to making this a reality, and this last little bit will make all the difference.
We can use all the help we can get! Tweet your friends, send them an email, invite us over for dinner, tell us we’re pretty. Every little bit helps! While you're at it, follow us on Twitter ,"like" us on Facebook, and visit our website at www.prohibitionbakery.com.
