With the development of The Nameless Realms in the Folio series, it has always been my hope to show further adventures in different ages of the world I’ve created over the years. A personal favorite of mine has always been The Gun Kingdoms, a world of steam and magic where technology is destroying the old ways of life through epic genocide of magical races known as The Enlightened. Over the past few years I’ve had a chance to write two novels and a couple of short stories detailing this timeline, and with The Folio Digital Quarterly #1 it is my hope to be able to bring the setting to new players. This all digital Folio will feature standard Folio sections like the Gazetteer and Adventure, with fantastic artwork and ship designs by David Deitrick, who helped coin the name steampunk with his work on GDW’s Space: 1889.
I truly hope you all will join me in this fantastic adventure as I take inspiration from Gary Gygax’s work on ‘Sixguns & Sorcery’ in the original AD&D Dungeon Master’s Guide (page 112), transition that to new 5E rules as well, and then package it for high adventure in a desolate Nameless Realms ripped apart by war.
What do I get?: You get a PDF version of The Folio, which includes a setting gazetteer, a new monster (exclusive to the setting), 3D & 2D maps, and a full adventure for beginner characters in 1E & 5E D&D mechanics.
When do I get it? December 2016, just in time for the holiday season!
Where can I get more info on The Gun Kingdoms? Well, I've written to light novels (The Gun Kingdoms & The Airship of Fools) concerning the setting, as well as a couple of short stories. Those, along with the Nameless Realms Races Gazetteer are prefect ways to learn more, and all of these can be had in digital format inside this Kickstarter.

Risks and challenges
As a fantasy fiction imprint working exclusively on Kickstarter, Art of the Genre has produced and fulfilled seven novels using this platform as well as delivering a dozen Folio products early to all backers. Our #1 priority is fulling our projects, and we've proven that over and over (23 Kickstarters and going!).
That said, this is a personal passion project for all the authors and artists involved, so we are as anxious as our backers to see these volumes become a reality as quickly as possibleLearn about accountability on Kickstarter
