Earlier in 2018 Art of the Genre ran a campaign to create The Folio of Fiendish Monsters, however that campaign was the only product we've ever done that didn't include 5th Edition D&D mechanics. Now, before we print this product, and after a lot of fan requests, we are offering the chance to add a 5th Edition monster appendix to this volume.
It is our hope that before this book goes to press we can add the 5th Edition content that I've already been writing with each monster I create.
What will be included in the 5th Edition appendix? Currently I've been writing a 'base-line' stat block for each monster in 5E. I hit the bigger points of each monster that relate most commonly to game play. The current blocks look like the following:
Ice Goblin [AC 14, HD 2d10+2, HP 12, Initiative +4, #AT 1, Hit +2, Dam Ice Dagger 3 (1d4+1), Stealth +5, Cold Blood (DC 14 Dexterity or take Freezing Acid 2 (1d4) per successful melee attack that damages this foe)]
STR: 10 (-) INT: 10 (-) WIS: 8 (-1) CON: 13 (+1) DEX: 15 (+2) CHA: 8 (-1)
CR: 1/2 EXP: 100
Monster Type: Small Humaniod
Stretch Goals within this campaign could expand on the 'block', providing Speed, Saving Throws, Full Skills, Senses, Languages, etc.
What are the monsters in this book? I'm going to provide an incomplete list (76 monsters), just so you have a taste of what the 115 new monsters are like.
Ice Goblin, Frost Ogre, Tundarian, Frost Skeletons, Blizzard Giants, Plated Woolly Rhino, Winter Witch, Hobgoblin Ice Raiders, Warmth Wisps, Ice Wall Dragons, Monofilament Kobolds, Dwarf Eaters, Simsisiun, Demon Prince of Changelings, Lyzinia, Arch Devil of Sin, Tournament Knight, Hell Fish, Typhoon Elemental, Black Sands Lich, Tether Worm, Fey: Dragon-Linked, Fey: Nature-Bound, Fey: Bridge Guardian, Fey: Nightborn, Dungeon Lurker, Tomb Shambler, Shadow Ogre, Karasian Dwarf, Spider Troll, Gloom Husk, Gloom Interloper, Gloom Brute, Gloom Knight, Stone Goblin, Legion Orc, Goblin Wanderer, Feral Kobold, Deep Forest Orc, Tethered Beast, Tethered Humanoid, Bender Scout, Out Island Reaver, Out Island Taskmaster, Out Island Captain, Bojun, Warfang, Sinner Hangman, Old Man of the Woods, Maiden Hag, Fallen Totem, Cuddle Creeper, Marigold Man, Fool’s Paradise, Dire Pine, City Stalker, Beast Spirit Haunt, Street Slitherer, Barkempkin, Brain Larva, Sewer Man, Drowning Fountain, Crimson Roses, Were Owl, Were Gull, Were Pigeon, Moon Child, Dravarian Highwayman, Chaos Bringer, Bastian Born, Devil’s Minions, Blood Caliph, Sand Rippers, Silk Whisperer, Shell Collector, Zhamaran, VirVir, Bonecrusher Dog
What is a Folio? The Folio series is a OSR inspired throwback series from Art of the Genre that revolves around gaming modules and supplements. Currently there are 19 Folio adventures, dozens of Folio mini-adventures, and 3 Hardcover books.
What do the AD&D pages look like? I've already been playing with designs from the original campaign, but there will have a feel like the monster blocks in the original AD&D Monster Manual, although I WILL be including experience for each creature as seen in Monster Manual II.
What are the other Folio Hardcovers? By the time this book is published in December 2018, there will be 5 'orange spine' hardcovers in the Folio Hardcover Series. They are The Complete Roslof Keep (which compiles the mega-dungeon from Folio #1-Folio #6), The Complete Cities of Sorcery (which complies two trilogies from Folio #8-Folio #13), The Storyteller's Arcana (a DM supplement cataloging some of my best rules additions over the past 35 years of gaming), The Folio of Fiendish Monsters (as above), and The Complete White Ship (which compiles the mega-adventure from Folio #14-Folio #19).

Risks and challenges
As a fantasy fiction imprint working exclusively on Kickstarter, Art of the Genre has produced and fulfilled 8 novels using this platform as well as delivering 19 Folios early to all backers, and dozens of mini-adventures and other gaming supplements!
This book is already nearing completion for December 2018 release, so adding the 5E monster appendix should add very little risk.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
