@Thanks, Natalie..so cool. It's so much nicer seeing it as a big round number and 50%.. big sigh of relief.
Well I got you to the half way point. Hopefully you can make it the rest of the way, I was really impressed by your project description. I am fully intrigued! Good luck!
@Thanks for backing, Jay. Really cool.
Dreaming is Easy, but actualizing the Dream.... well done.
Thanks, Matthew. I just read your bio, I freakin' love it. We both share a love for Starbucks coffee tables and 8 hour sessions at B&N. Haha. Thanks for the support.
This book sounds awesome. As a person who loves a good story more than anything else, I'm extremely excited to read this. Good luck with the funding and keep on writing.
Thanks. Scott! First of all, I would LOVE to read your doctoral dissertation, that's sounds AMAZING. I'll have to email you. Second of all, thank you so much for the support!
It was a very surreal experience when Facebook timeline came out, to go back all the way to 2003 and see all the memories that had been stored along the way. At that point, I tried to imagine what it would be like to go back at the end of my life.... Wow.
Thanks again, Scott!
Kyle, this is a very cool project. I wrote my doctoral dissertation on Facebook (I still hold claim to it being the first completed doctoral work on Facebook and online social media.....certainly from the perspective of an educator and student development theory.....and you've managed to take a unique look at the phenomenon. Nice!
I'm completely enamored by the "A Life Told from the Cloud" even before reading a sentence from the book. It's fascinating to think about the residual impact Facebook has on our society today. Even more fascinating is thinking about the impact it will have tomorrow and years from now. Indexing our public lives in the cloud can have implications on how we behave, interact with people, and even, look back on our lives.
Very interested to see how a fiction novel with a comedic flair will weave in the theme.
