Hi there! My name is Margot, I’m an artist & designer born & raised in Toronto but currently living in Guelph, Canada. I love to draw, create new things and produce unique products for my customers. When I was little I remember watching “The Last Unicorn” on repeat, it was my favourite movie without a doubt. I feel it has inspired me in many ways, and this collection is a tribute to the beautiful art and story.
My initial goal is to reach $600 (CAD)! This is to cover the costs to produce the unicorn bust pin. This includes production costs, shipping costs, extra material costs (backing cards, etc), and Kickstarter fees.
Rather than risk everything, I made the first goal small so I would be able to manufacture at least one of the pins. I am hoping to meet all my stretch goals so I can produce all four pin designs.
The campaign will run for 30 days. Once the campaign has reached completion, I anticipate it taking two months for payment collection, production & shipping to me, packing, and shipping to you. Hopefully this means they are received by backers by mid-December!
All of the pins will be hard enamel, with silver-coloured plating, and two rubber clutches to keep them secure. They will be presented on an illustrated backing card.
All the pins but the Unicorn bust pin will be stretch goals! That way, if we only make the minimum of the Kickstarter (The initial $600), that pin is still made. If the kickstarter makes more money, however, more pins will be made. Once the campaign has ended, you will be able to choose from any of the pins that have been unlocked, regardless of what was available when you first pledged.
Wow! I was not expecting reaching all my stretch goals so early on in the campaign! Thank you, everyone! I will be announcing more stretch goals shortly.
The first of which will be a 3" x 3" sticker!
Thank you so much for your interest in my kickstarter! I can’t find the words to describe my thanks for your support and generosity…so, thank you, you’re amazing! You've allowed me to make something I never thought would be a possibility.
Risks and challenges
I consider this project fairly low-risk. I’ve worked with my manufacturer before and trust their quality and customer service. I've chosen the colours for these pins from a Pantone book, and my manufacturer's colour matching has always been accurate in the past. However, there is always the possibility of delays and errors. I will be working closely with my manufacturer to resolve any problems that may arise and deliver your pins as soon as possible!
Although this may be my first kickstarter campaign, I’ve done lots of research and have been double and triple-checking my costs and am confident that I can run this as smoothly as possible. I’ve been selling goods at shows & online for 10+ years, and I'm always striving for the best of myself and the work I put out, as well as great customer service.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
