About this project
Ahoy! Thanks for checking us out!
So here's what we want to do: we plan to shoot a music video for Molly's original song, "It Could Be," from her upcoming EP Dropping Anchor. The video is set on the bare stage of an empty vintage theatre, which quickly transforms into an imaginative dream world. But this isn't just your ordinary music video...The camera's motion will be choreographed with dancers and moving set pieces to tell the story of the song in one continuous, uncut shot. That's right! ONE SHOT!
With costumes styled in a 1940's theme, the charming story of a long distance love unfolds before our very eyes. It's good old-fashioned movie magic - all effects will be completed live. Clouds. Marionettes. Airplanes. Clocks. Day into night. No digital effects required.
The final (and most important) part of this project is that we want to make something fun with people we love. Molly and Liam have known each other since high school and have been looking for the perfect thing to collaborate on for quite some time, and this video fit the bill.
With a completed script detailing each movement and shot composition down to the second, a budget in hand, and an incredible team already forming, we just need the funds to actualize our idea.
If we meet our goal, we will use your contributions to do the following:
- Pay our dream crew, cast, and creative team
- Rent the perfect theatre for one full day of shooting (and insurance for the equipment as well as the theatre itself)
- Rent studio space to rehearse with the cast and crew
- Time & Materials for the construction of set-pieces
- Costume Rentals
- Hair and Make-Up
- Equipment Rental
- Food for the cast and crew. Who doesn't love craft services?!
- Much more...
Any amount you can contribute will help us immensely and we are so grateful for any bit of support we receive - and we can't wait to pay you back with the rewards we have to offer. If you can't give, please feel free to pass along this page to anyone who might be interested or just send us some good thoughts and those will help, too.
Thank you so much!!!!
