Dear Kickstarter Backers:

Hello from the Veronica Mars Customer Support Team! 

It has been a real treat to be a part of this unprecedented project, and we can't thank you enough for all of the wonderful messages you've sent us. Now, as we wrap up the final details of the Kickstarter campaign, we wanted to provide some final details and instructions about getting ANY rewards that you might still be missing, before our support period ends. 

PLEASE READ THIS CAREFULLY, because we don't want you to miss out!

1. DVD and Blu-Ray Rewards 

Please note that we are in the final stages of shipping out the physical DVD and Blu-ray rewards for backers at the $50+ reward levels. If you are at the $50 reward level (or above), you may have already received your DVD or Blu-ray reward. If you haven't, your DVD/Blu-ray should arrive no later than May 15th. If it does not arrive by then, please contact Customer Support at info@theveronicamarsmovie.com so that we can help. 

GERMAN AND AUSTRIAN BACKERS: If your rewards include the DVD or Blu-ray/DVD Combo of the movie, we will be sending those to you during the fourth week of July, when the DVD and Blu-ray are released in your countries. Please note we will no longer be offering German and Austrian DVD and Blu-Ray rewards after AUGUST 15, 2014.

2. If your address has changed... 

If you have moved since we last got your address, or if you receive a notification that your DVD/Blu-Ray rewards have been sent to an incorrect address, your best option is to contact your local post office and provide a forwarding address. 

If that doesn't work, please contact Customer Support at info@theveronicamarsmovie.com and let us know your updated address, so we can make sure your rewards reach you.

3. All missing rewards must be sent out by June 1, 2014. 

Unfortunately, we can't assign a permanent Customer Support team to this Kickstarter, and now that all rewards have been finished and sent out, we need to wrap up loose ends. As such: 

WE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO SEND ANY ADDITIONAL KICKSTARTER REWARDS AFTER JUNE 1, 2014, except for DVD/Blu-ray discs owed to German and Austrian backers. 

If you are still waiting on rewards other than DVD’s or Blu-rays, PLEASE contact Customer Support at info@theveronicamarsmovie.com as soon as possible. This will allow us enough time to fulfill any of your rewards before our JUNE 1, 2014 deadline.

4. All refunds must be issued by June 1, 2014. 

If you wish to request a refund for the digital download, or reimbursement for purchasing the movie from iTunes, Amazon or other digital retailers, please forward your receipt to info@theveronicamarsmovie.com ASAP, because we will not be able to process any additional refunds after June 1, 2014. 

GERMAN AND AUSTRIAN BACKERS: We will not be able to process refunds for the digital download or reimbursements for purchasing the movie from iTunes, Amazon or other digital retailers after August 1, 2014.

5. If you have not heard back from Customer Support... 

 ...it might be because our response got trapped in a Junk Mail folder or filter. 

If you are still waiting for a response, and are not sure the email address for Customer Support is working, please do the following: 

a. Double-check the address where you sent your request -- it should be info@theveronicamarsmovie.com

b. Send us a message through Kickstarter AND INCLUDE YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS, so that Customer Support can respond to help address your problem.

Please note: if you need help, please know that we are NOT able to respond to requests and problems mentioned in the comments below this update, or here on the Kickstarter forums, because our Customer Support team has no way of contacting you. To get help, we need you to contact us DIRECTLY at info@theveronicamarsmovie.com!

      I really don't get why Kickstarter reward fulfilment should depend on local DVD/Blu-Ray release dates.
      According to this logic UK backers wouldn't be able to get a Blu-Ray at all, because the movie is only released on DVD in the UK...
      There should be at least an option for us to choose to wait for the German release or to receive an English one...

      @Palindrome Bob: Thanks. My statement about no region codes only applies to Blu-rays, by the way. DVDs still use them.

      Do you know, what's weird? I payed 60 $ and I haven't seen the film yet.

      1. It did not show in a cinema near me and the nearest one only showed it for a week at 3 pm.
      2. Flixster is weird. I don't mind watching films in English but Subtitles (English is sufficient) are very helpful. First, there were no subtitles, then there were but they were all capitals which made them unreadable and now they have disappeared again.

      I was about to stream it illegally but did not because I knew that I did not have to wait for too long. German dub was promised for May and also shipping of the DVD was due in May (I guess). So... now I received an Email with this latest update telling me, that I have to wait another two months. This really sucks, guys. I'm so disappointed in this whole thing, I cannot imagine to being able to enjoy the film at all. I expected to receive a US DVD in the coming days which would not have been a problem, because my player can play all formats.

      Now I have to read that there are not even the promised "other bonus features" included. What a waste of money and excitement. :(

      I'd be perfectly fine with the UK-version of the DVD as well :)
      And I'm desperately rooting for all those "plus other bonus features" to magically appear on my copy of the disc...

      But still, guys.. awesome experience, great to be a part, terrific job you did there! ♥

      @Palindrome Bob: Glad you'll get your disc soon. Could you let us know if it is the US release or a local disc when you get it?

      If it is the US version it would make even less sense that they let German and Austrian backers wait.

      Oh, I have just discovered a DHL shipment notification and a message from VM my BluRay HAS shipped in my mail. Tracking says it has even arrived in my country but I fear DHL will find nobody at home when they arrive so I'll have to go and pick it up.

      I also want the original US Blu-Ray release. German release are messed up so often, it's not even funny anymore. I don't care about a german dub either. I watch all US movies and series in english whenever possible.

      I am happy I helped to make this movie, but as a few others have stated, I wish there would have been the (plus other bonus features) bloopers or deleted scenes. I planned on buying the bluRay anyway though. Now I just have to be patient and wait for book number 2 or movie number 2(?). Great job Rob and crew!!

      I agree with the other numerous comments regarding the german DVD/BD release - please make it an option to get the regular US disc to us. It sucks to have to wait several months for a (probably) inferior release - and I sincerly doubt that anyone (in Germany) who is involced enough in VM to have backed this campaign is in any way interested in receiving an german language dub...

      I received all of my rewards on time and I couldn't be happier! Got my DVD/BR combo pack earlier this week and watched the deleted scenes. More "Daddy-Daughter time" is always a good thing and it was fab to watch Veronica's undercover skills at work. ;) I'm glad the last scene (about TMZ, I guess?) got cut out or minimized, though... I hated watching those two "entertainment news" guys talking/summarizing.

      Also, I have to say anyone who got JUST the DVD will probably be miffed at the dearth of special features; guess that was more WB's decision than yours, but that doesn't matter much to the person who pledged at the 50 dollar and above level who was looking forward to the deleted scenes and gag reel. If possible, it'd be good to get all the special features on both formats in the future. I know that's not standard operating procedure anymore, but nothing about this particular movie was standard. ;)

      Wow... so once again, German backers are getting screwed over? First there was the absolutely horrible and useless digital copy on Flixster with no legal way to purchase "the movie from iTunes, Amazon or other digital retailers," and now we have to wait for a version of the Blu-Ray or DVD we might not even want or need? I'm so happy... NOT!

      To me it's a bummer I have to wait so long to get the DVD because of the stupid release date for Germany. I had hoped we would get our rewards when all the other backers get their DVD/Blu-ray. Why isn't it possible to send the rewards to us before the official release date here in Germany?

      I just wanted to say that I'm thrilled with how the project came out. I pledged for the dvd (which I received this week) and ended up buying the bluray after the digital version didn't work for me, and my wife and I really enjoyed the movie.

      Got my DVD... It's nice and all but I gotta say that the absence of a commentary track is a huge bummer... Sure, the "By the Fans" docu was nice (if just more than a bit cut to pieces) but a commentary track with some of the cast and Rob atleast would have just been infinitely more valuable... *sigh*

I can't wait for my Blu Ray to arrive so I can watch the movie all over again and enjoy all the extras too. Thank you so much to everyone involved for making this happen.       @Palindrome Bob: Warner Blu-rays have no region codes. US Blu-rays would work on our players without any problems.
      It's a shame that I could watch the movie now if I wouldn't have backed the Kickstarter.

      thanx so much to everyone involved in this wonderful project ! I received my DVD on may 5th (I'm in France). So glad and a bit sad because it means the end of this amazing 1 year adventure... After all this hard work, I think everyone of you will enjoy some holidays soon... ;) So I'll say goodbye, hoping to have some (good news) one day about a movie or TV sequel.. fingers crossed !

      Is there any chance for us Austrian/German backers to get the UK Blu-Ray instead of the German one? I don't need/want the dreadful German synchronization and am not happy to have to wait so long.
      And WB doesn't have the best track record with German releases anyway...

      Still waiting for the BluRay here but I have a hunch that might arrive coincidentally with the German release. After all, there's that pesky Region-business.

      I received my DVD and was also a bit disappointed because it only includes the "making of", while the $50 pledge description says: "plus other bonus features not available on the digital download." It's probably a good thing that I had already pre-ordered a blu-ray copy in addition to my Kickstarter copy because the blu-ray seems to be the only way to get the other bonus features. In total now I've bought this movie 4 times...true fan enough for ya? Not complaining though, just curious about the 'miss' on the DVD specials, cause I'll take my VMars as my times/ways as necessary to keep it going.

      Thank you to Rob and everyone for an amazing experience. It has been an honor to be a small part of this piece of Hollywood history. I am sad a lot of the joy was dampened by whiny people who couldn't figure out how to watch the digital copy (linking uv to vudu was not hard, people) but that aside, from the YouTube announcement, to the wonderful updates, to seeing the movie in a theater packed with amazing fans, to the joy of watching my bluray tonight, this journey has been incredible and getting to return to Neptune was an impossible dream come true. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

      So who do i contact if my german BluRay dos not Arrive at the end of July? That seems just silly.... considering that i never received a proper download of the movie (since in Germany there is only flixter and flixter is horrendously terrible) i am sort of disappointed that legally i could not have watched this movie before the end of july since no theater in the area was showing it in english (wich was and still is the language i want to watch since i strongly dislike dubbing).

      :(

      Will the contend at least be on the same level as everyone elses BluRay?! Because if, after all of this, we also get screwed out of some BluRay extras or what not i will star impulsively banging my head against the wall and there will be no more custom support here to send the medical bill to.

      Why don't you send German and Austrian backers the US DVD or Blu-ray? I never expected to get a German release and I certainly didn't expect to have to wait longer than every other backer. This is very disappointing.

      although I'm disappointed that they aren't available on my DVD (apparently needed to double my pledge in order to get hi-def too), if there was a youtube channel or hulu or something with the "extras" I'd be pleased

      (also, I expected some kind of personalization of the cover, like a "Kickstarter edition" stamp or something... but that must be me :P)

      I'm yet to see the movie. The download was no good to me as I didn't want to watch on my computer, and I'm still waiting to get my DVD. It's been out in the shops now all week! It would have been nice if you could have sent the DVDs to Australia sooner so we could get them before they came out in the shops! I could have illegally downloaded it over a week ago, but couldn't bring myself to do that! Whatever! Hope I enjoy it when I finally see it.

      I'm disappointed the standard DVD didn't include any deleted scenes or bloopers--which only seems to be available on the Blu-ray version. The standard DVD only has the 55 minute featurette which I already saw when I attended the Paleyfest event...soo disappointed!

      I'm a little sad that it's over! This has been a great experience and I enjoyed getting all the updates. Probably the best value for money I've ever got. My only issue has been problems with delivery of the rewards, but I think that's more due to my weird address than you guys.

      I received my DVD/BluRay last week and was kind of sad. Why? I immediately realized that it was the end of my KickStarter rewards.
      Overall a tremendous experience. This got me involved with KickStarter (35 projects backed) and Twitter.
