WHAT IS THIS?
In 1938, Orson Welles broadcast the famous The War of the Worlds alien invasion hoax and sent many of the nation into a state of panic. In Concrete, Washington a power outage sent the town into complete darkness during the broadcast. This is the story of one couple's reaction under the belief that their world will never be the same.
Concrete is a suspense film, but more so a character-driven drama that looks into human emotion under distress. Panic can bring out the best and worst of people.
WHAT'S BEEN DONE
The script is complete and the 72 panel storyboards are approaching finalization. The cast and crew (listed below) is on board and ready to go. The cast have had one script read and one day of group rehearsal. The location has been scouted and selected.
WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE
The donations will go exclusively to production costs -- including cast and crew transit, lighting, props, and costumes. We'd like to shoot early August, with the film finalized before the end of the year.
WHAT'S IN IT FOR ME?
