Thank you for helping me reach my initial, minimum goal of $500! You are contributing to a meaningful and productive project. When I say initial, minimum I mean this: Kickstarter is all or nothing. If for some reason the project goal is not met, zero contributions go to the creator's goal. With a creative project, I'm sure you know, every contribution matters. Because of this, I set my original goal at a reasonably attainable minimum. Now we have the opportunity to stretch that goal. Every amount invested in this project will enhance and strengthen the resulting body of work. With this in mind, please know that your faith in me and this work is highly valued and encourages me to exceed your expectations. Thank you for your confidence!
I am creating a series of images, in both paint and photograph, about a journey to and through the French country side. Three creative and independent souls on a pilgrimage, exploring, finding, and connecting with each other and the world through art, travel and experience. This idea started with an invitation for me to participate in a residency in Orquevaux, France and has grown to include the opportunity to share new experiences, with those closest to me, and the world. Fortunately my young daughter and husband will be experiencing my residency with me. This is exciting because they are strongly featured emotional and physical elements in my work.
Daily I document life in both paint and photograph. I merge the two disciplines into images that capture the heart and soul of the people I encounter and embody the essence of the places I go.
Using layering and multiple exposure processes, I merge images of my paintings and drawings with captures of daily life to produce emotive, responsive artworks. At times I reference historic art movements like action painting, expressionism, and impressionism and combine it with a documentarian behavior. I fuse my physical marked response, to the emotion I feel in a place, with the forward facts presented in personal encounters through photography. By the marriage of past and present I create works keeping history available while appreciating the present with the use of historic painting methods and modern photography technology. My room and studio space are generously provided by Chateau Orquevaux, travel, living, and art supplies are not funded Funds raised through this campaign with go toward purchasing supplies to execute the production of new work inspired by a new place. Materials needed include: camera equipment, paint, canvas, paper, and probably more paint! Additional funds raised will contribute to any unexpected travel expenses and the transportation and exhibition of works produced. All contributors will receive invitation to any and all exhibits of these works in addition to the outline rewards. In the event that I am fortunate enough to raise more funding than requested, my goal is to continue the project into the next year with additional locations.
Thank you for partnering with me on this project! Your confidence in me, my work, and my passion is both uplifting and encourging!

Risks and challenges
The only problem I foresee could be, though not likely, delays with shipping in the holiday season. In this case, backers will be kept up to date and all of my lines of communication will remain open to them.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
