What is a MLPlushie?
For those of you who don't know what an MLPlushie is, let me explain a little bit about them. MLP Plushies are soft handmade dolls or stuffed characterized ponies that are made from High quality minky fabrics. They are adorable collectible stuffed ponies that come in a wide variety and can even be customized!
I have always wanted my own MLP plush. Problem is, the plushies that you find at Walmart are ridiculous and I'm rather picky about what my mlp plush looks like. So I looked into the plushies online only to find that they averaged 200$+ No matter how much I wanted them, I couldn't pay the price. Then one day I decided to make my own. I soon realized that there is a lot of work being put into them. That's when I had this idea of making cheap but high quality plush toys for others like myself that can't afford the professional grade ones.
I have now been creating these MLPlushies for little over a year and I have loved every minute of it! I have had the opportunity to collaborate with my fellow plushie maker, as well as create custom orders for my amazing customers and for the local children in my nursery classes!
So why a MLPlush you ask? These plushies are soft cuddleble characters based off an immensely popular tv show called My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. So naturally Bronies (adults and teens who love mlp:fim) and kids are drawn to them!
What will the MLP Plushies look like?
They will range from 3"- 36" inches in height
-Made with ultra soft high grade fabrics
-Safe for all ages
What happens if this campaign is successful?
Once the MLPlushies are in production it should take roughly 30 days until they are ready to be delivered to each buyer. Customized plushies will take a little longer.
My goal is to have MLPlushies available for under $100 and ready to purchase by early June 2015! I wish to make enough to continue to make more. The pure joy of making them is the best part for me.
The goal of this project is to help me to get me set up to start selling these Cuddlies!.
The goal amount will cover the costs of my plush production, shipping and backer rewards. Kickstarter also receives a percentage of the goal amount, as well as Amazon, which is how pledge payments are processed.
Risks and challenges
The biggest challenges and risks I might face are-
1: Underestimating myself and not meet my personal goals.
2: Making plushies is a full time job and requires alot of material and work. I may fall behind and or loose peices because of unorganized area of work and or underestimaded amount of money needed to get the project finished.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
