First Update - first stretch goal reached, things look great

Wow! Just wow. Thank you all so much for jumping on board right away and getting this Kickstarter off to a fantastic start. We're at $16K right now - I thought it was perfectly possible, before I launched, that $16K might be all we'd raise for the whole thing. I'm over the moon!

Which means the gear customization feature is happening. This will both let you tailor the game somewhat to your own tastes: for example, if you prefer to use the mouse to pick the point you swing from, like Bionic Commando, you can; or choose between a continuous or charged jump. It will also ease beginners into the game, a bit like starting out surfing with a slow but stable longboard and then as you get better moving to the more maneuverable but squirrelly shortboard.

I'm confident we're on track to raise enough both to hit at least our next two stretch goals: getting the game on Linux, adding zip features (you'll be able to retract and extend your energy hook line, and also do a sort of quick zip like in the Arkham games, but this gear won't be unlocked for the player right away) and to bring on Brian Luzietti for audio. So Brian's already started digging in!

My next step is to get the game on Steam Greenlight, both so you can vote it up over there and so the Greenlight Community can find out about the Kickstarter over here. I'll let you know when that's ready, of course.

Again, thank you all so much! I don't know what to say.

That's because I haven't got the Greenlight up yet. Managing a Kickstarter takes a ton of time, so I've barely made headway on the Greenlight. (Advice if you're starting a game Kickstarter is to prepare your Greenlight ahead of time.)

steam greenlight link here wouldve been helpful as Steam Greenlight's search function is poor.
I type Energy Hook and nothing shows.

I'd imagine making a site for the game, along with a Humble Store widget, would make most people happy. For an example, check out FTLgame.com

I use steam, if necessary, but would also much prefer distribution via GOG.

I'm good with a steam version. It's pretty much the only thing i use to contain all my games. But yeah i'm not everybody. Alot of indie games seem to have both a steam and a GOG version at the least, if not their own version on their own site. Anyways, congrats on getting this going full swing (pun pun). I've always been a fan of the swinging specifically in the spiderman games,(especially 2 and 3) and am looking forward to seeing what else you can do with it.

I'm a fan of steam, but having a drm-free version would be nice as well.

Also distrust Steam. GOG version please.

Seems like a few people really loathe Steam! I was thinking if I did Steam I wouldn't need to do anything else, but I'll reconsider. Give me a couple of days to think about it...

Any plan for distribution out of Steam, so I know if I can bring up my $1 pledge or burn it down ?
