Hello Kickstarter friends.
I've got good news...the sleeves have finally been cut!! After a weeklong delay (a machine which is integral to the process broke down and needed to be repaired), I have cleared another leg of the production process. Yay!
I stopped in to the factory yesterday morning to watch some of the cutting action. In no time at all, 100 sleeves had been cut right in front of me. So efficient! Then they plowed through the rest. If you'd like to take a little peek at the process, check out the video below...
Are you like me? Were you thinking the whole time, "Toddo, please don't slice off your fingertips!" (That would have been a whole different video...)
OK. Next step-- Printing. Let's hope for a smooth printing experience!! Due to the holiday next week, I'm probably looking at 2, maybe 3 weeks before printing is complete. The step after printing is Sewing. That will also take a couple of weeks. But then, the sleeves will be Finished.
Considering all of the production delays I've encountered thus far, it would not be a good idea for me to give any definite delivery dates. I had originally hoped for end of May, then June, and now here we are entering July with a lot of the production process left to be done. The best I can do is keep you updated on progress. You'll be hearing from me again as soon as the printing begins.
Thank you again for all of your support and especially your patience!!
Happy 4th of July!
