We (Matt, Jared, Cody, and Jason) want to make an album in the grandest tradition of our musical heroes. An album that is as much a tribute to the rock & roll revelry of Elvis and Led Zeppelin as it is to the cosmic profundity of Bob Dylan and Neil Young.
Even though we're young, we know that the opportunity to make a legendary record doesn't come along everyday. The time is right and we don't want to miss our chance.
Over the past three years, we've been honing our skills and we've written over twenty songs that reverberate in the lungs of our friends, our family, and strangers who chance into our live shows. There's a sense of urgency to capture the best of them in this album.
That's where you come in. The industry has been democratized in a way that makes it easy for anyone with a microphone and computer to make a record. It's a blessing and a curse: quality music has been drowned out by the overwhelming cacophony of a thousand disparate voices screaming at once. We believe our art is good enough and worthy enough to spend the time and money to make it as good as it possibly can be. We don't want to waste these songs.

This is a breakdown of our recording costs. We've managed to raise over $1000 so far in gig payouts and merchandise sales, as well as a substantial amount out of our own pockets. We are invested in every sense of the word. We've got a long way to go, but we can get there together! The beauty of the music is that it's a shared experience, and everybody can take part in making it and appreciating it. Without ears to fall on and heads to get inside of, it is a hollow sound.
