Q2Q Comics is a thrice weekly webcomic about tech theatre. It follows a company of designers and technicians as they work on theatrical productions. It highlights the absurdity and quirks of working on the backstage side of theatre.
To make a f'real printed hold-in-your-hands 130-ish page book including comics #1-#220 of Q2Q Comics. We want to do a first edition of 2000 copies and self-publishing is an expensive thing to do up front. That's where you come in! By donating to this project you'll be able to help us publish a better book than would otherwise be possible.
The book will include more than just the comics, though. It will have commentary by the author on many of the comics, crew bios, a director's note, concept art that should never see the light of day, some other extra super secret art inside, and a bunch of other never-before-seen stuff!
We wanted you to be able to view this kickstart as a pre-order for the book that we're producing. As such, most of the rewards are the book itself. If you pledge $5 or more, you'll get your name in the book along with the rest of the Kickstarter backers. For $10 or more you get a digital copy of the book. The $15 to $50 tiers offer the book in various states of signed or doodled upon. At the $250 tier you can get a drawing of yourself in the style of the Anatomy comics!
We've reached our funding goal! So now let's try to make the book as cool as possible by hitting some stretch goals:
Risks and challenges
As is the case with most projects, the greatest risk is of delays, specifically during the printing of the book. We will do everything we can to keep all of our backers informed and maintain full transparency if delays to occur.
We have been running a successful online shop for 2 years now and feel confident in being able to fulfill the rewards in a timely manner.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
