What the money is used for BEYOND OUR GOAL: Our minimum goal amount of $2,000 DOES NOT INCLUDE: travel, additional equipment, post-production and distribution costs. (Additional goal amount: $6,000 = $8,000 total)
Thank you first and foremost for helping to make this film possible.
I first met Seth Michael back in the summer of 2015 and was immediately captivated. I've spent the majority of my life being very interested in the supernatural - from the afterlife, past lives, paranormal, etc. Being raised a devout Christian, this was a struggle since I was taught to stay far away from these things. I had a hard time ignoring what I believed in and after my own share of experiences, I decided to learn more. Seth is the primary focus of this documentary - think of him as your host. But, he's not alone. Many of his friends are included in this spiritual adventure and we will hear from them, including special interviews with animal communicator Karen Anderson and psychic mediums Teresa Kleve, June Lundgren, AurorA and others. This is the RAW reality and questions will be answered. You will walk away from this documentary knowing this wasn't a Hollywood production just for entertainment. Get to know the struggles of being a medium and also the joy as you bring healing to both the living and those who have passed on, including pets. Learn about all different types of spirits and even watch spirit counseling. This film will cover the white light aspects and also the dark side. You will get to join us at the Oregon Ghost Conference in Seaside, OR and experience some paranormal outings with White Light Paranormal Insight, including a hotel from the 1800s. Best of all, you get the personal stories and real accounts, including testimonials from people like you and me. You'll hear from the believers, the skeptics and those in-between. This is a film you will not want to miss!
"When the filmmaker asked me to do this with him, I had no hesitation to look into a life of a psychic medium, because I know a film like this is going to be with heart and truth. It won't be like any other one out there and even though I will be the "main character", it will feature my friends that I do several projects with during our interactions and glimpses into their lives. And it will branch off even more with clips of all the different kinds of readings I do, and some cases we have had as a paranormal team and just on my own. But also, the filmmaker wants to go deeper into what being connected to that other realm is like from my own perspective which includes some of the difficult parts of it as well as the joys. This is going to be a very important film." - Seth Michael

WE REACHED OUR GOAL. NOW WHAT?
What the money is used for BEYOND OUR GOAL: Our minimum goal amount DOES NOT INCLUDE travel, additional equipment, post-production and distribution costs. (Additional total of - $6,000)
We can make the film with the $2,000.00 we set as our minimum goal. Any funds that go over our goal will only make the film that much better by allowing us the ability to add more adventures and capture more footage at different locations we can travel to.
Also, anything over will also be used for:
Additional Equipment: ($950)
On-Camera Field Video Monitor
Canon T5i or 700D (We need a second camera)
Micro SD card for GoPro camera
Quadcopter Drone HD camera
1TB External Hard Drive
Website: ($150) Domain name and website platform.
Travel: ($2,000) Includes travel to interviews, all film locations (including Oregon Ghost Conference, Port Gamble Ghost Conference and paranormal locations) and Film Festivals.
Film Festival Submissions: ($650) Yes, it costs money to submit.
Post-Production: ($1,000) One big thing is hiring someone as a second editor. We are all working for free, but we will need to hire a professional editor since the editing process will take more than just one person.
Distribution Costs ($2,000): DVDs, Blurays, Posters, PR/Advertising/Marketing, Theater Booking, Preview Screenings, Publicity Campaign, etc. This is going to be the major part of cost for this film.
THANK YOU for getting us to our goal and for every dollar that goes over it!
None of the donations are used as payment for anyone: cast or crew (minus the second editor).
As you can see from the project video on here, we need better equipment. Thank you isn't enough for your assistance to give this film the ability to have a professional production.

An interesting twist to this documentary is the fact that the filmmaker is a Christian. Embarking on a film on this sensitive topic for him takes courage. “I have had my share of experiences in my life and it’s important to show this isn’t an occult or Satanic gift that Seth has. It’s actually beautiful and I’m not afraid of any backlash I get from it. I think once people see this they may look at things in a brand new way. It’s already been a fascinating journey.”
Risks and challenges
Filming for this project began on Saturday, January 9th - a gallery reading with Seth Michael and guest psychic medium AurorA at Twilight Theater Company in Portland, OR.
I am taking into consideration the risks and challenges we could potentially face making this documentary. On the first day of filming I ran into an "oh no!" when we ran out of space on the memory card only half way through the gallery reading. Instead of reacting, I responded, and successfully transferred the files onto a laptop at intermission and was able to film the rest. Yes, I lost some changes at additional footage, but have already purchased another SD card (64GB) so this will not happen again. This only showed me how important this kickstarter project is for this film. We need the right equipment (and some backups) just in case something happens.
We are projecting this film will take the entire year to make. It is important to keep everything at a positive pace. I do not feel like this needs to be something I speed through, yet it will not drag on. The goal for completion is December 2016 and I feel that is very manageable.
There are a lot of positive people involved and I know that any obstacle that pops up will not block this film being completed. This is why everyone that donates will always be up-to-date with our progress and feel like you're right here with us.
I will be making plenty of updates to keep everyone aware of the progress of the project. There is a ton of support and I know this documentary will be ground-breaking. I'm excited!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
