The Imagine Project: Ordinary People. Extraordinary Stories shares the inspiring life stories of forty seemingly ordinary people from across the United States. The soulful photographs invite you to read further to see the person behind the stories they tell, stories of experiences that shaped their lives and sent them on paths unforeseen.
* They are real people; teachers, soldiers, fathers, daughters, athletes, farmers, old and young, rich and poor, educated, sophisticated and down-to-earth.
* They are like everyone, and everyone has a story. Sometimes these stories may seem simple and unremarkable, but if we look and listen closely, we discover tales of love and strength, hope and courage, perseverance and grace.
This book will touch your heart and soul, it shows with simple clarity that what makes us human is our ability to get up after we fall, our potential for inner growth, love and compassion. Reading this book will feel like visiting family and friends.
The Imagine Project raises the awareness of humanity, one story at a time.

Imagine...losing your high school sweetheart and love of your life at 53,
Imagine…looking down the rocky road of emotion and realizing you are not walking it alone.
Imagine…coming home from Iraq and facing depression, suicidal thoughts, losing friends, their lack of understanding, your inability to adjust, the fits of rage, and the isolation of returning home from war.
Imagine...finding solace on the side of a mountain. Later taking other veterans on the mountain with you...a healing that creates a national program for former vets.

Mario and I have been interviewing and photographing people from across the country for the past two years. Their simple tales of success and failure have inspired us more than we dared imagine. We have self-funded this project thus far, but now we need your help so we can make our ambitious plan a reality and print and share this book with a wide audience. Your contribution and your support will help us:
1) Continue interviewing and photographing the final 10 people needed for the book,
2) Work with our amazing graphic designer and editor to create a beautiful final product,
3) Pay for a first run print of at least 2000 copies (We will print a larger number if we go beyond our goal),
4) Market and publicize the book properly.
Thank you for your time, support and financial contribution. Please help us spread the word about this project.

www.mariomasitti.com: Mario is a highly regarded portrait photographer whose home base is in Denver, CO. He travels throughout the US mentoring professional photographers through workshops, sharing his knowledge on meshing emotional interaction and technical detailing to form a successful shoot. Mario combines his love of people, business, and art to master a unique form of communication via the camera. He recognizes that each moment with every individual provides it's own engaging story. His ability to capture emotion, character, sentiment, and one's unique personality coupled with his refined sense of composition brings true life to every photo.
www.premature-infant.com: Dianne's first website was created around her work as a nurse, parent, educator, and author around the care of premature infants. After her own tiny preemie was born she began working with parents and health professionals, writing and speaking about the impact prematurity has on the infant, child, and family. Over 15 years ago when she began speaking she asked other parents to tell her their story using the word Imagine... Their stories became a beautiful format for communicating a life experience and healing the wounds from those experiences. There are hundreds of preemie based Imagines... on this website. Dianne has realized the power of this method and believes in its value to create change.
www.healthandhealingalternatives.com: After getting her Master's Degree in Nursing, Dianne began working with infant's, children, and adults to heal trauma from early life experiences. This website explains more of her work.

Risks and challenges
A book about forty different people from across the United States may have some inherent risks and challenges. The first might be the coordination of the all of the information, stories and photographs of each individual in the book. This has been somewhat mitigated as much of the content of this book has been received, reviewed, and a system is in place. The production of all of the content is not yet complete, but we have an excellent graphic designer who works in the publishing industry that is creating the final product and up to this point the coordination has run smoothly.
Travel: Because we have not yet completed all of our traveling to photograph each individual in the book we may run into some unforeseen issues with weather, flight changes/delays, etc. All of the traveling is scheduled to be completed by mid-November to help prevent winter weather delays.
Shipping and delivery: We may also have problems with shipping and delivery of all products and rewards. The book printing will be done in North America to prevent any issues with unknown fees. A professional distributor has been found for the mailing of all books. An assistant will help with the delivery of all of the mailed rewards.
To help alleviate any other unknown problems I also have recruited a great support system of very successful authors and coaches such as Judith Briles (www.briles.com) and Ken Atchity (www.kenatchity.com).Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
