Caught in the struggle of her teenage years, Leora has always had a challenging life. Raised without her parents, the only friend she's been able to rely on is the soothing voice that only she can hear. The voice has guided her with a gentle hand through all the trials she has had to face, but more than a few comforting words will be needed as Leora learns about her true potential and the ancient evil that threatens all life on the planet. Joined by an undead monster, an enlightened cultist and a forgotten god, Leora must face the darkness that spews forth the worst of both horrors and humanity as she witnesses both the beginning of an invasion and the end of the world.
Lux is a 32 page black and white horror themed comic and is recommended for mature readers due to violence and language. While the first issue is almost complete, we're already hard at work on the next one, with five issues worth of written content so far and our artist, Mayra, churning out the pages.
Leora – It never mattered before that she had no family and only a few friends, because Leora had never truly been alone. Her closest companion had always been the soft voice that has helped steer her in the right direction through life. However, as the world she once knew quickly spirals out of control from an unknown source, Leora must learn to trust others and discover the power only she can wield. As dark forces consume the light, she must be there to battle them back with her radiance.
Frank – Like all great figures, Frank worked constantly on a way to defeat the greatest of enemies: death. He pushed living creatures to their limits to find the answer, but every path he took inevitably led to a dead end. Broken, head hung over his latest failure, he heard a voice providing his answer, for a price. Decades have passed and now Frank can only see a monster staring back at him in the mirror. His answer was a curse, and now he seeks revenge against the darkness and hopes Leora will be his weapon.
Dionysus – She has existed since there were things to exist. She has seen the best the world has had to offer and has watched as the end of it has drawn close. Yet while the others might allow for the end of the world, she couldn't bare to lose humanity and all the fun they've created over the years. While chaos can be enjoyable, its got to be the right kind of chaos that only she can find.
Ramon (Monchis) – Ramon has always wanted to belong. To anything really. He was walked through life, sampling what he wanted, but never truly appreciating it. Life lacked meaning, until he found a new group; they looked out for one another, were engaged in each others lives. Sure, they occasionally wore black robes and pledged their loyalty to some dark deity, but he finally felt at home. Until a young girl throwing light from her hands wasted his "friends". He took it as a sign to change his ways, and now seeks a new purpose!

$2500 - With the help of Eloy Lasanta and Third Eye Games, we will create an Amp: Year One beginner adventure. It will be delivered to all backers in a PDF format with the Lux characters pre-made for the scenario, condensed rules, and a short adventure.
$3000 - We will create a digital mini-comic (about ten pages) further exploring one of the great characters from our title. The comic will be delivered to all backers and a poll will be taken after it is reached to decide which character the story will be about.
$3500 - If we can hit this lofty goal, we will make a digital mini origin comic for each of the main characters! So in addition to the origin comic from the $3000 goal, you can expect one for each character. We will do a quick poll at the end to figure out which order you would want us to create them in.

About the Crew
Dwayne Stewart (Writer/Jack of All Trades) – He has been obsessed with comic books since his neighbor traded him a copy of Green Lantern #50 for some basketball cards as a kid. An avid reader of anything Green Lantern, Captain Marvel, Ms. Marvel or Frankenstein, he looks to bring his own spin to the comic world. A graduate of the College of Technology at Purdue University and having worked in the print industry, he aims to bring these skills to producing a memorable product.
Patrick Cassidy (Writer) – A graduate from Purdue University with an English degree, he thought that it was about time to put that degree to work... for once. With a love for horror and challenges, he loves making complex characters and situations, and is happy to get a chance to try his hand at a comic book. Personal interests include most nerdy things like comics, role-playing games and podcasts.
Mayra A. Dennis (Illustrator) – As an avid manga and comic reader, she has always wanted to bring her passion for art to this arena. She has studied Art & Art History, with an emphasis on figure drawing. Lux will be her first published comic series, and she hopes that this is only the beginning.
Lowell Isaac (Bela Lugosi’s Tales from the Grave, Martians, Go Home, Zone Boy)
Natasha Alterici (Heathen)
Where the Money Goes
After Kickstarter fees, the money raised will be used for printing and shipping the rewards to backers. Any additional money raised will be used for the stretch goals and to pay the fine talent that created this comic.
Risks and challenges
As an avid Kickstarter user, I want to make it clear that our product is almost ready to go! This money is going directly to printing and shipping a quality product in a timely fashion. Having previously worked in the print industry, I have no doubts that we will be able to deliver the product within the time frame. The art is almost complete and should be ready to print soon after the end of the campaign. The team is dedicated to the project and we can pick up the slack for one another should life events intervene.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
