We have already documented nearly two and a half years of the BP oil spill, completed 75% of filming and editing. We are currently raising funds for licensing fees (media news reels of BP spill as well as previous spills over the decades), additional research, script development, travel back to the Gulf (one last time for up-to-date information), and much needed post-production.
Risks and challenges
As with any film projects there are inherent risks that one will not be able to complete production, edit film and get distribution. Having said that, we have already invested nearly 2.5 years into Pretty Slick (this has allowed us to document a longer term impact from the spill), filmed and edited 75% of the documentary, created a website, edited a trailer, outlined our completion plan, initiated negotiations with a well known distribution company, assembled a capable and proven team of experts with impeccable track records (proposal plan furnished upon request). We now need an infusion of funds to complete production. The same team has completed and distributed several films to the likes of Discovery, History, A&E and Mountain Film Festival Telluride CO.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
