Update + new donation options!

Hey guys! I know it's been a couple weeks. We have been going crazy working hard on new tracks and sorting out all of the business w/ re: to Kickstarter, etc. Here's a quick update to you, our investors, on where we are at:

Not only does Kickstarter and Amazon take a cut, but we're having to sort out how this money is taxable. So -- as an update to you guys, our investors, after Kickstarter and Amazon, we're at a grand total of $21,876.39. We'll be deducting what we need to produce albums for you from this total, and then of course we'll need to set aside whatever is necessary should this be taxable for 2011. Whatever is left is what we end up with for our choir.

Crazy stuff! In the mean time, for those of you who either A) didn't have the opportunity to up your pledge or B) have friends who missed the deadline (we've been getting emails about both scenarios), we've set up a new post-Kickstarter fundraiser over at zreomusic.com. This will help offset the fees and taxes associated, plus bolster our current total to get us closer to a real $25k to spend directly toward choir.

(or, click on "DONATE" at the top of the main ZREO website).

We'll be echoing the incentives from Kickstarter here, so no one feels left out!

As always, we could not have reached this level of capital w/o you. We're pushing forward w/ a ton of enthusiasm and passion, and can't wait to begin recording. That said, a lot of work is currently being done in order to get ready for that, including preparation and parsing of choir parts, etc. We'd like to give a shout out to Julia Seeholzer at Berklee College of Music and head of the VGM Choir (www.vgmchoir.com) for recently joining the team to help streamline and expedite our choir prep process. As a result, we'll be going to the session over-prepared so that we can be sure and record as much as humanly possible!

Also, a special THANK YOU our team and everyone who is donating their time, money and resources to this passion project. It truly is a labor of love and wouldn't be what it is today without you.

We'll be checking in soon w/ more info, but I wanted to get a word out to you now!

Thanks,

The Twilight Symphony Team

I just want to say thank you for giving us the opportunity to support you guys! Trust me, there are many fans out there for this wonderful Game series that are just trying to find ways to show their appreciation. Thank you for giving us a chance to do so! I know I've been looking forward to your release, and I know it's going to be amazing. I'm probably one of the few people in the world left that love to use CDs, but I just want to let you know that all your hard work and dedication is appreciated! Thank you for all your kindness and I look forward to having you guys guide me through the land of Hyrule with you awesome music! Thank you so much! This is definitely a collection of music that will be worth "Listen!"-ing too!

Yeah. We're grateful for what we do have, but still need to offset some things. Thanks again for all of your support, Rob! Looking forward to meeting you when the time comes. It's gonna be a lot of fun! In the mean time, we're still chugging along. :)

Yeah, I was wondering how Kickstarter made money from these projects. Good luck with everything!
