WHAT WE WANT TO DO:
Pajama Dave and Zan want to open a bar. Hard to believe, right? With your help, we are hoping to open PJD's Beer and Wine Garden in April 2017.
A small, beer and wine garden in the the courtyard right next to the Pajama Life store. There will be high top tables in the patio area and barstool seating at the bar.
The goal is to start with at least 12 beers on tap. Pajama Dave will make sure we will have the standard beers on tap (Bud Light, Michelob Ultra, Stella, Miller Lite etc..). Zan will make sure we also have some of the best craft beers in the world on tap. We will have stouts, porters, pale ale's, IPA's and Belgians.. We will also have a large selection of bottled beer and excellent wines for those of you who do not like beer.
Our food will consist of typical bar foods like hot dogs, popcorn, pretzels, pickled eggs, chips and salsa, nothing fancy.
PJD'S will be a very casual, outside bar where you and your friends can gather to enjoy great beer and wine.
We have crossed the first hurdle and obtained approval from the Historic District Council to build the bar.
Next, we move on to obtaining the building permits and paying the impact fees imposed by the City. The impact fees are $318.00 per seat. We are hoping to have 24 seats (more if we can). Therefore, it is going to cost us $7,632.00 in impact fees for 24 seats. This amount does not include construction costs, building permits, refrigerators, bar stools, tables etc.... It is simply a fee you pay the City before you can open your doors.
WE NEED YOUR HELP.
We are asking for help to raise money to cover the cost of the impact fees. We are offering some great rewards in exchange for your help.
If we happen to raise more than the $7,632.00, we will put the extra money towards getting more taps and making PJD's even better than it is going to be.
Don't forget to watch the bloopers and outtakes video!!
Risks and challenges
We have met with City Officials and have obtained preliminary approvals. We should be ready to submit final building plans in the next few weeks. Everything seems to be right on track.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
