Chapter II Assets Completed
At the specific request of backers who reached us via comments section, we are doing a major update in a long while.
As we've stated back there, we're doing (mostly) regular weekly updates through our Twitter account, as well as posts on our Wintermute and Adventure Gamers forum pages. Still, this leaves out all of you people who follow us via Kickstarter and that's something we would like to rectify with this update.
Asset production is going pretty much as planned and the assets for Chapter II of the game are completed as far as rendered 3D models are concerned.
You will notice "WIP" tags on images below - reason for those is within our pipeline, as we wait for a number of pieces to pile up before asking our 2D artist to process them all in one go as it's her preferred approach to the problem. That usually happens before we pull those in into the game and as we are still working on Ch1, these are still in their raw 3D state.
As far as game assembly is concerned, we are still working on Chapter I. Wintermute is a cumbersome engine and there is a lot of tweaking and hard work before we are able to make it do what we want it to do. We've made some adjustments to our workflow lately which we hope will help us speed up the process a bit.
You can see the current state of the game in this short demo of the beginning section of Chapter I:
That would be all for now. We thank you for your patience and if there is anything you would like to know in between the updates - the comments section is there for you :)
All the best from Jonathan, Michael, Biljana and Nikola!
