A Lovecraftian game by Mads L. Brynnum and Richard Launius

2-4 players each control a band of deranged cultists and use them to fulfill sinister plots, complete dark ceremonies, and control key locations in Arkham. Since you all want the world to end your way, prepare to meet opposition – not just from the investigators that roam the streets looking for occult activity, but form the other players too. The first player to reach 13 victory points win, but if you don’t keep the investigators at bay, they’ll call in a federal raid and make everybody lose - except for the cult with the least points who escapes notice.

Components Inside:

1 Game board with Location tiles 4 Cult boards 54 minion tokens 1 Investigator Marker 20 Action Dice 7 Combat Dice 13 Investigator tokens 8 Tokens for tracking Madness and Victory Points 13 Spell cards 13 Item cards 13 Special Item cards 12 Ceremony cards 16 Cult upgrade cards 20 Plot cards 13 Forbidden Lore tokens

In Madness At Midnight 2-4 cults fight to be the first to summon their specific unspeakable horror. The goal is to gain 13 Victory Points through plots, cult ceremonies, and the powerful locations of Arkham. But on the path to unleashing their god, the cults must fight each other and the pesky investigators who threaten to save the world.

The Action Dice form the core of Madness At Midnight. Each player has a set and uses them to move cultists, activate location abilities, and initiate fights. You can, of course, reroll your Action Dice, but only as long as your cult hasn’t gained too much madness. So the madder your cultists are, the harder it is to make them do exactly what you want.

A big part of the game is to control or dominate important locations in Arkham, but you can also activate them to gain stuff. You can learn ancient spells at Miskatonic University, gain forbidden lore in the black lodge, acquire mystical items at the River Docks, and more.

Locations change during the game depending on the moon phases – you simply flip the location tiles to reveal new abilities. This forces you to rethink your strategy and ensures that no game will be the same.

Will your cult be the first to unleash an unspeakable horror on the world? Or will your plans be foiled by the other cults or the pesky investigators?

Our good friend Lance (aka Undead Viking) has been kind enough to do an amazing preview of Madness at Midnight for us. Check it out below!

We heard rumors that this video was leaked out by the Dark Youngs about a week ago, but now it is officially part of our KS page. Check it out!

Our friends at Gaming Trend did this nice interview at Origins. Check it out below!

Origins was a great time, and we really enjoyed hanging out with Keith from Gaming Trend. Thanks Keith!

A general overview of Madness at Midnight from the GAMA Trade Show in March of 2016!

We have some cool ideas of ways to improve the games visual and tactile feel. If we are lucky enough to see strong support on the Kickstarter, we will spend the extra funds on upgrades to the experience. We would LOVE to be able to do these!

Since support is strong, we are be able to upgrade all of the Cultist tokens to wood meeples! ALL FOUR player colors! That's like 48 Ctheeples!

Since we hit our first Stretch Goal, and support was strong, we were able to upgrade all of the Monster Standees to wood meeples!

We hit our Second Stretch Goal, and support continues to be strong. We are super close to unlocking the 35k Goal!

Want more Stretch Goals? So do we! Check back each day to see what else we might be able to unlock together!

All shipping prices are listed in their respective pledge levels to the right and include a subsidy by us to help keep your shipping rates as low as possible.

EU customers will now have their rewards sent from inside the EU!

Countries Excluded: We are no longer able to ship to Brazil, Russia, Mexico, or the Middle East due to high postage prices, and lost parcels. If you live in one of these areas, we recommend you use a USA address and have the game forwarded to you via a relative/friend or postage forwarding company.

We continue to work with different fulfillment centers all over the world to ensure better, and more affordable delivery each campaign.

PLEASE NOTE: Damage may occur during transit by the various shipping carriers used. We wish this was not the case, but it can happen. Shipping Carriers pass their fees along to us, we do not set high postage rates. We subsidize all shipping costs from our profits to help lower these costs for you, our backers, because it is important to us to help spread the word about our project and help our games and our company grow.

We are a small business who relies on shipping companies to fill our Kickstarter campaigns. PLEASE email our Customer Service (mrbgames.cs{at symbol}gmail.com) if you have any major issues with delivery/loss/damage that cannot be resolved with the carrier and we will help assist you in resolving them. We will need your backer number, address and backer name in the email.

Return Policy

If for any reason, you find that after the Kickstarter has ended, you need to cancel, we will work with you to best make that happen.

If you cancel within 45 days of the end of the Kickstarter, we are able to do a complete refund via the Kickstarter payments system (including KS fees!)

After 45 days and up until the month before we ship the rewards, we are able to do a 90% refund (less Kickstarter and CC processing fees) via paypal.

For a refund request after shipping addresses have locked (aprox. 3 weeks before shipping), we ask you email us at mrbgames.cs (at) gmail.com and we will try to work with you for a partial refund if possible, but you will be responsible for return shipping.

If for any reason you feel you have a missing item or damaged item, please email us at mrbgames.cs (at) gmail.com with photos of damage, your backer number, backer name, and complete address and we will work to replace the missing or damaged items ASAP. Do not post in the comments, or other forums as we may miss them or be delayed in replying.

The following Terms are accepted by you, the backer when you pledge, so we can ensure smooth delivery for all.

Surveys not filled in after 4 months of final delivery (from the "we are shipping" update) or missing reward requests after 4 months of your game shipment will be treated as a no reward pledge. Please help us get you your rewards by emailing our CS with any issues you may have in a timely manner and filling in your survey in a timely manner!

Watch for updates on all shipping statuses. All our major communications will be via Updates.

By pledging to this project, you acknowledge that the final look and materials of the project and hence the rewards, are subject to change and may differ from what is presented while the Kickstarter campaign was active. If you do not accept these terms, please do not pledge on this project but instead wait for the possibility of a general release copy. We will always do our best to provide exactly what was pictured, but sometimes small details change or a card is removed and replaced with another, ect. The above campaign depicts our plan, but all plans can change at a factory level. Pledge with confidence, as we rarely alter our contents.

Risks and challenges

With every project there are risks, but we hope that our past track record in publishing, as well as Sean's design and development work at his previous publishing job will put everyone's minds at ease. Mr. B. Games has delivered on 7 Kickstarter projects in 2014 and 2015 with only 3 being late by 1 month each, 1 on time and 3 delivered early! We are not new to the industry and have been making games in some capacity since 2005. With our previous experiences we can pool from the 10+ years of lessons (both good and bad) to ensure a smooth, and accurate production and delivery. We hope that you will help support us in our publishing efforts, and thank you in advance for your confidence in Mr. B. Games!
