About this project
This is a story about love and family and how families are built in all sorts of different ways now. We hope to tell our story of love and to educate people on the world of IVF and surrogacy. Together I know we can get this film funded and tell a heart warming story for others to learn about!
On October 30th, 2010, a healthy pregnant Natalie went to the hospital to be induced as she was two weeks late! James (her husband) and Natalie welcomed a beautiful, healthy baby boy, Hunter, into their lives. Shortly after he was born, Natalie started to feel sick and the bleeding wouldn’t stop. The doctors tried everything but could not stop the bleeding and had to rush her into surgery in order to save her life. While in surgery they had to remove her uterus in order to save her. James and Natalie were devastated, as Hunter was their first child, and they had just started to grow their family. They wanted more children. Since Natalie still had her eggs, they decided to look into surrogacy. It was then that James' sister, Tiffany, offered to be their surrogate and carry a child for them. On March 30th, 2012, the second attempt at transferring James and Natalie's embryos was successful and Tiffany became pregnant with their twins! At the launch of this campaign, she is 22 weeks pregnant and due December 21st, 2012.
WE NEED YOUR HELP TO FINISH FILMING:
It costs a lot of money to make a movie! We have been filming this journey since before Tiffany was pregnant and the babies were just embryos. We have been renting equipment, but now need to have equipment ready at hand. Production costs are essential to help our team collect beautiful footage for the final movie! We will continue filming the pregnancy, the milestones, the doctor's visits, and the ups and downs of surrogacy as viewed by both the intended parents and the surrogate. We will also be filming the birth and first few months of the twins lives. Basically, there is a lot left to film before we're done! Watching this film, you will get an insight into the medical procedures, family life, the hardships, and the joy of what families do for one another. We need funding to pay for equipment costs, crew, sound editing, storing footage and files, backing up and licensing fees. All of this adds up and we need you now more than ever! We would love to have your financial support on this and have you help make our project possible!
HERE'S HOW THE PROCESS WORKS!
Kickstarter is the world's largest funding platform for creative projects. Every month, tens of thousands of people pledge millions of dollars in money to creative projects in dozens of categories.
A person who supports a project is called a "backer." The process of giving money to the documentary is called a "pledge."
In return for your pledge, we (the creators of the campaign) are able to offer "rewards," depending on the amount you pledge.
For example, if you pledge $25 to help back the project - we'll offer you a full-length, HD download of the documentary. You'll get access days before it's made public! :)
Pledge levels vary from just $5 to several thousands of dollars. And each different level opens up a new, creative reward.
HOW TO PLEDGE AND BECOME A BACKER!
You can become a backer in just three easy steps:
- Step 1: Read through the pledge levels and rewards we're offering in the right sidebar of this page.
- Step 2: Click the large, green "BACK THIS PROJECT" button to the right of the trailer video at the top of this page.
- Step 3: Enter your pledge amount - and complete the steps for filling in your information. This process takes just a few seconds! If you already have an amazon account, you can just pay straight through there with a few easy clicks!
You've played an important role in sharing this message with the world (and get some pretty sweet rewards too!).
Special note: Your pledges aren't actually processed by Kickstarter unless the campaign is 100% successful. We meet our goal or we get nothing! If we meet our goal, your card is processed on the above deadline.
HOW TO SHARE THIS CAMPAIGN:
Best ways to share this campaign and our story:
- On Facebook. By far, our best tool for sharing this message is through Facebook. You can simply click the "Like" button directly below the video at the top of the screen. Or paste the URL straight onto your page with a message!
- On Twitter. You can also tweet out the video - once again by clicking the button under the video or simply by sharing the direct URL for this page.
- A short email. Think about the people in your life that may want to hear this story and be a part of it. Write a short note to them in an email!
- Word-of-mouth. Unplug the computer and your phone and just talk with people in your lives about it! Few things beat a genuine, face-to-face conversation. :)
Again, any way you can help - big or small - is deeply appreciated!
We would love to publicly thank all of our friends, family, fans, and followers who have continued to show us their support. We are trying to showcase a beautiful story, but also chronicle the details that go into surrogacy and have it be medically accurate. This story is much bigger than anything we hoped for and if it wasn't for so many email responses, phone calls, and messages about personal struggles; we would have taken this much more lightly. It is YOU who is making this possible! So please take the time to donate!!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
Can you pledge outside the U.S.?
Absolutely. Orders are processed through Amazon, which operates in the far majority of countries. We also include international shipping for free!
Can I change levels after I pledge?
Yes, you can. If you can't decide between two levels, pledge the smaller one - and up until the end of the campaign you can change it to the higher level (and still get all the rewards)!
Can I give this as a gift?
Yes, again! Once the campaign is over, we will reach out to confirm shipping addresses, how your name should appear in credit (for $100+ pledges), and other details. You can provide us with the information for the lucky gift getter!
Can I get more information about larger pledge levels?
Absolutely. Email TiffanyBurkePhotography@gmail.com directly. Tiffany would love to talk with you and answer any questions you may have.
What happens if we don't reach our goal?
We get nothing! You aren't charged and we don't receive any of the funding.
What happens if we go over the goal?
We make a larger impact on thousands of more people! We get to receive any funds that go over our goal - and will funnel those back into the film and have an even better project. This would be amazing!
How is my pledge processed and charged?
Once the campaign is successful, your pledge will be processed by Amazon on the deadline date listed above. It's safe and secure - Amazon is one of the premiere online retailers.
Is shipping included for rewards?
Absolutely! We'll ship your rewards anywhere in the world - 100% free.
