This Kickstarter is to help us put the finishing touches on our upcoming Tabletop RPG ’ s. These three games are already written, tested, and ready to play. The funds raised will go to wards more artwork, editing, and other professional services to create a high-quality gaming experience.
The first book in the lineup is Escape from Teddy Bear Island.
A long time ago the great Flufamancer Jessie came to Teddy bear Island. Jessie was running from the mainland as he had upset many people with his experiments. Some called them unnatural. Some said it was against the law. Others said it was just plain creepy. What, you may ask, did Jessie the Flufamancer do? Well, At least we think he did. At any rate, he hasn’t been seen since. Maybe the evil teddy bears ate him.). I can’t even begin to tell you about the bidding that he bid, but just you believe me when I tell you that it was evil! Anyway he ended up on this island and built a giant teddy bear shaped temple. Then he called all the Plushies to his temple and, well, and then he died. We think, maybe the evil teddy bears ate him. Now the island is overrun by out of control evil plush toys. Can you survive Teddy Bear Island?
We plan to have this game launched in September of 2016.
Second is "We hunt bugs."
In the far future alien “bugs” have infested the space lanes and The Company has been tasked with keeping the ships moving. Yeah, that ’ s right. You are a space bug exterminator. It ’ s a nasty and dangerous job, but somebody has to do it. So weapons in hand, contract signed and (hopefully) clone insurance paid up, you step into the void to make some cash.
We plan to have this game launched in October of 2016.
Last up is "Kaiju have bad days too."
So you wake up from your nap only to find somebody has gone and built a city on your ancient breeding grounds. Who, you may ask, are these interlopers? Well you’re not sure but, they squish pleasantly under your feet and taste delicious with catsup. After a good dust up with that giant robot of theirs, you are ready to nestle in by the radioactive fire and get your egg lying on.
We plan to have this game launched in November of 2016.
This is a new game system based on multiple six-sided dice, with a success-based main system that is easy to learn and quick to play. Combat is left mostly abstract but has enough crunchy bits to be playable by all.
The biggest innovation this system makes is in character advancement. In our system your character advances by achieving their life goals (not by being a murder hobo). We have found that this causes the players to go out of their way to role play.
What game would be complete without art? Right? So we have contacted freelance artist and collected some great art for the games already, but we want to do more. So we have reached out to comic book artist Keith Gutierrez (and a few others) to help finish out the games.
$800- We are working with Dreaming big Publications on short story completions for each book. We will be providing an E copy of the compilations for the corresponding games that you order.
$900- 5 new weapons and Mini Quest for Teddy Bear Island. The new weapons were designed for us by our friends over at Sky Relics. This set of adventures will publish before the end of the year but may not go out with the initial game.
$1000- 3 new ships and deck plans for We Hunt Bugs. The ships will have deck plans and descriptions and will be great place to launch you own adventures. This may not launch with the game but will launch before the end of the year.
Risks and challenges
As we mentioned above the games are written, tested and ready to play so one way or another .the games will be released. This Kick Starter is to make the games better looking than I can do on my own. All the moneys raised will be used to make our games better and available to more people.
So what could go wrong? Well the process may take longer than we want it to. We have taken pains to keep this from happening but you can never account for everything. The copy editing and page setting will be the most time consuming part of the process. However we believe we have left ample time to complete any rewrites needed.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
