What is MangoCube?
MangoCube is pocket sized, Arduino compatible, stackable header friendly,
ATmega32U4 board in cool colourful case.
To make MangoCube, we have specifically developed an Arduino Compatible board. We call it LeoBoard. LeoBoard has ATmega32U4 micro-controller with Arduino Leonardo Boot-loader. The pin-outs for LeoBoard is as follow,
MangoCube comes in three versions: MangoCube LEO, MangoCube BLE and MangoCube WiFi.

If you think Arduino is fun to program but wish your development board was small in size, cool in appearance and easy to carry in your pocket then MangoCube is for you.
MangoCube family has many distinctive features compare to standard Arduino, however few of them are listed below.
1. Arduino Compatible!
MangoCube comes with Arduino Leonardo bootloader pre-installed on the chip. This makes MangoCube fully compatible with Arduino Software and programming, also it has pin compatible with Arduino Leonardo.
2. External power supplies!
MangoCube can be used with external 5V battery supply. This makes MangoCube a great tool for portable applications.
3. Smaller size!
MangoCube is only 25mm x 40.5mm. This is significantly smaller than standard Arduino UNO or Leonardo boards. This small size comes in handy while making space conscious applications and portable applications.
4. Colourful Cases!
MangoCube comes in hard shell ABS case. There are 5 different colours to choose from. You can select one of the colours which suit your personality. Apart from case giving aesthetically great look, it protects the core board from surrounding. The case makes it easy to carry. MangoCube’s case also packed with some cool features like holes for Lanyard and Keychain.
5. Optional inbuilt Wi-Fi or Bluetooth 4.0 (BLE) functionality!!
One of the great features of MangoCube is that this small case can contain a Bluetooth or a WiFi board. This extra functionality of wireless communication makes MangoCube a perfect choice for your portable or wireless project!
6. Free Smart phone App and Tutorials!
We have made an all in one App for Android which makes use of MangoCube BLE super easy. The App makes many complex BLE tasks actually possible for a beginner to implement like a simple serial communication. We will provide Tutorials on how to use MangoCube BLE and WiFi. Once again it makes easier for a beginner to use various functions provided by MangoCube BLE and WiFi!
What can you do with MangoCube?
MangoCube family can be used as General purpose Micro controller or for a specific application. It can be powered by a USB through PC/ Laptop or through external 5V batteries. It is highly recommended to use 5V regulated external batteries (Li-ion or Li-Poly). Please check below for application can be made by MangoCube family.
MangoCube BLE is advanced;
Along with Remote Control and Data transfer facilities, it can support Apple’s iBeacon features.
MangoCube WiFi has functionalities of AP+STA mode, meaning it can be connected to either a smart phone or a wireless router through standard Wi-Fi.

MangoCube comes with applications for Android and iOS (currently in making) smart phones/ tablets in order to use MangoCube BLE for advanced features of
remote controls. We have put every effort to make the Application intuitive and
easy to use.

BLE Board and WiFi Board:
We have also made BLE Board (fully assembled) and WiFi Board (fully assembled) which simplifies use of Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi (IEEE 802.11 b/g/n) with Arduino Boards or other General purpose boards.
Both of these boards are 5V and 3.3V compatible meaning you can use it with 5V boards (i.e. Arduino UNO, MEGA, Leonardo etc.) or 3.3V boards like Raspberry Pi, Arduino Due, Pic32 boards etc.)

We are pleased to announce that the MangoCube is Open source project and files will be available on github.
Production Time line:
We expect the MangoCube to be ready for shipment during December 2014.
Where are we now in the process?
milestones has been successfully achieved in the process,
- PCB prototype is completed
- LeoBoard prototype is tested
- The Case for MangoCube is prototyped and tested
- BLE Board is prototyped and tested
- WiFi Board is prototyped and tested
- Andoid App for MangoCube BLE (Bluetooth 4.0) is developed and tested
- Demo programs/sketches for MangoCube BLE and MangoCube WiFi are developed and tested
- Distribution centres; one for US and Canada has set up.

- iOS App for MangoCube BLE (Bluetooth 4.0) is under development
- Video Tutorials for getting started with MangoCube, MangoCube BLE and MangoCube WiFi

Risks and challenges
As with any electronics project, the time-consuming and uncertain tasks like co-ordination of Electronics design, Mechanical design and Apps for mobile devices are involved in this project too. Fortunately for us most of these works are in house e.g. PCB design, Mechanical CAD design, Mobile phone App development. Due to these advantages, our product’s concept to completion phase is quick and up to a very good standard.
