MORE DELAYS

Hey Everyone

As you can guess from the title it isn't news anyone wants to hear. After another couple of weeks chasing EPCC I have received the below email:

Hi Kirk, We have just been informed by our contact at Keen Hong, who is packing your project, that even after confirming with photos, the seals have been affixed to the tucks upside down. Please see attached photo. We will correct this error, unless you would prefer to leave the seals facing the direction in the photo. We assume you will not want this, but want to be sure we know how you would like to proceed, based on your time constraints. Please let us know how you would like to proceed and we will correct this error. Again, we apologize for this unexpected delay. Thank you, Taylor

.

So, as you can see from the image the seals have be placed on upside down even though they confirmed to me by photos which way up it should be....I'm so angry.

I'm waiting on them to come back to me with answers and timeframes. I know this will add even more time to getting these into your collections but I want them to get it right.

I'm so annoyed and frustrated that there is nothing I can do and it is all in EPCC hands.

I can only apologise for the further delays and I'll keep you all updated as and when I know more.

Kirk

If you choose to have the seals corrected, I hope they don't just peel them off the tuck boxes & stick them back on in the correct direction. Or peel them off & put new seals on the tuck boxes. What I'm saying is the tuck boxes will become damaged when the incorrectly-positioned seals are removed. Replace one, you'll have to replace them both.

Personally this is what I would like to see. And the factory that screwed it up should eat the cost.

Hey Kirk - It happens sometimes. Given the design, I don't think it is a major issue with seal being upside down. I know you will take the best decision which will be in the interest of all backers.

Thanks for the update. How frustrating for you!

      Thanks for keeping us informed.

Delays are always frustrating, but not getting updates on what is going on is far worse in my opinion. Bad luck with the process, looking forward to everything getting back on track.

Propose to buy them at half off and sell them to us at 40% off. This makes it easier for me to have a deck to keep and a deck to play. Hopefully everyone uses the upside down seals to play and thus they skyrocket up in value because of the error (kind of like that upside down airplane stamp).

I'm with Craig on this - this way the decks are more unique. Besides I think it would be wasteful to redo them only to flip the sticker upside down.

My unsolicited 2 cents worth is I would be happy with them with the upside down seals -- it contributes to the uniqueness of the offering.

Kirk, I perfectly understand your frustration. I had a similar problem in the past with USPCC, but they didn't even warned me and distributed the whole production.

I am sure your backers will understand and the deck will look really cool.

Congratulations for your hard and fantastic work.

Thank you for the update. I feel your pain! Great things are worth waiting for though and these will be great.
