Welcome to the
wonderful world of getting paid to play in the dirt. Dirty Money is a card game for 2-5 people ages 8 and up. The game is simple and quickly paced, with a good balance of strategy and luck.
This is my first Kickstarter project, and the first time I've attempted to bring one of my designs to the public.
Dirty Money - The Card Game
Players use Shovels, Picks, Tractors, Dynamine and Specialty Tools to move loads of dirt and collect their payment.
Players compete to move the most dirt and collect the most money for their efforts. Hidden Gems and Treasures will be found along the way, padding your pockets or letting you buy your way into advantages over your rivals.
Once the dirt is cleared, the path is clear for construction. Build up your bank accounts even more by building one or more Development projects.
Watch out for these hidden Artifacts. If you uncover one of these, work has to stop while the proper authories step in to protect and collect the priceless items.
As with most of my ideas, this game started as a flash of an idea that got stuck in my head. It noodled at me until I finally cut up some pieces of paper and started playing against myself. It wouldn’t be long before I began drawing the first ideas for the artwork and having a play-test deck made. Several months, and many iterations later, here we are.
Once the project is funded, the artwork will be sent to the manufacturer for final pricing. Proofs and prototypes will be made and approved, and the games will go to print. The whole process is likely to take several months before I will begin shipping the final product.
I have to give very special thanks to a number of people for making this adventure possible:
To my wife Lauren: Thank you for the support and advice. I still can't believe you put up with all of my crazy ideas.
To my Family: Thank you for always providing feedback, helping make this game the best it can be, and putting a second pair of eyes on everything I write.
To Jessi: Thank you for being my partner in artistic crime. Your hands are all over every bit of these cards.
To my Friends: Thank you for being my guinea pigs.
Risks and challenges
This is my first attempt at having something mass produced. While I have done my research, I am sure that something unforeseen may cause some delays. I believe I have built in a good cushion of time to have the games produced, approved and shipped. I promise to keep you all in the loop with what is happening with the manufacturer and fulfilment. I appreciate your patience.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
