First Engine Run
First Engine Test Run
We ran the engines for the first time today, after a few false starts owing mostly to fuel pressure adjustment issues. Once corrected, the engines started on the first try. We ran the engines for approximately five minutes, just enough to ensure we had stable oil and fuel pressure and that the water pumps and alternators were working correctly.
The "man behind the curtain" attending to the engines is good friend Rex Johnson, a retired USAF Chief Master Sergeant and quite possibly the world's best airplane mechanic. The "Chief" is always right!
