About this project
Jon and I have been working on Kandrite for a combined 5 years now. We've been making game mechanics, deck builds, art work, and developing the world within which Kandrite exists.
We've been 'gamma testing' the game with a very bulky paper version, practicing a whole slew of differing game modes, but doing so requires two computers and about 30 indicators to keep track of all the Aspects in play.
If our Kickstarter campaign is successful, the majority of our funding will go towards getting the application framework professionally programmed so we can begin large scale beta testing. Additionally we'd like to invest more of our time into the completion of this game.
Kandrite will be a free-to-play, strategy trading card game. Our intention is to appeal to hardcore gamers, card fanatics, and world explorers who enjoy a sense of strategy and curiosity.
Ideally, Kandrite will be a lightweight, low bandwidth intensive game when it is released. Due to the nature of the interface we are designing and development methods, cross platform composition will be an easy task.

Kandrite will be a lightweight, cross-platform application. All information will be stored server side, making it easy to access the game anywhere.

Risks and challenges
If the Kickstarter for Kandrite is successful, it still has a distance to travel before completion. Programming will take around 3 months, followed by a month of data entry. On top of that we have around 300 cards drawn but only 60 colored at this point, so I will need to finish the art work for the game. Once this is all complete beta testing will last around 4-6 months. Our estimation is to launch Kandrite around one year from after completion of our Kickstarter!
