This Fall, Useful Jenkins of Mankato, Minnesota will be filming a follow-up to their 'Waitin to Die' music video which was released in 2012. Filmed in Colorado by Rob Specht of Wandering Skunk Photography while on tour with Useful Jenkins, the Waitin to Die music video received 1,500 views in its first full day and has since surpassed 14,000 views on Youtube.
Festival Express, the title track off our latest studio release, is the subject of this follow-up video. Harmony Park Music Garden, located just outside Geneva, MN is the setting. We hope to use this video as a way to capture Harmony Park and the community of friends, family, and fans that we've been lucky enough to grow up with these past years. Festival Express is a celebration of life and the adventures which occur at Music Festivals. We aim to take viewers on a ride with us through the festival experience and give them a taste of what it's like. To do this the way we would want to, we need to raise some money. Pre-production has already begun and production, filming, and editing aren't cheap. This is where we are asking for your help to ensure this project is a success. The Wandering Skunk will again be producing this video for us, and we hope to make it the best we possibly can!
We will be filming during Wookiefoot's Shangri-La music festival and hope to include and capture as much of the park and community as possible during this process.
There are some unique and fun gifts and experiences for those who can support this project financially. Whether it's an Executive Producer credit, a starring role in the music video, or a cheesecake dinner with our manager Kelso RagePumpkin, there's something for everyone. We've always had an amazing relationship with our community of family, friends, and fans, and we hope that this project will in some small way capture a little bit of that magic.
Even if you are unable to support financially, we'll still be looking for tons of behind the scenes help to make this a reality, and since we'll be filming all throughout the festival, many are sure to be captured. There may even be a spot in the video for someone that we giveaway...look for more information as Shangri-La approaches.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for all your love and support over the years. We are all excited to ride the Festival Express with you to Harmony Park this September!
Risks and challenges
One of our biggest challenges creating this video will be coordinating and corralling the large numbers of people necessary to capture this video properly. Utilizing the community as much as we can, we hope that through proper planning and the help of many creative and awesome individuals the production of this video will be successful. Shooting in a festival environment can provide it's own challenges, but we feel we have the experience and guile to pull this off!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
