4th day after the release and the third patch v1.03 for Legends of Dawn is live on Steam!


Patch 1.03:

- improved camera position so that when zooming towards player, camera moves slightly forward thus giving larger view area 

- enemy missiles now hit walls, houses, barrels and other objects (that is everything that has collideable physics meshes) when fired toward the player, you can now hide from attacks behind the trees, pillars etc.

- player's spells and arrows also hit physics objects, you cannot shoot through walls anymore

Patch 1.02:

- added autosave option that saves game every 10, 20 or 30 minutes (autosave can be disabled from Options panel)

- added QuickSave command to Options -> Controls that saves new save game with the single keystroke

- fixed bug with player sliding after the manual respawn if the player was moved before hitting the respawn key

- fixed key assignment bug that prevented custom key binding to work until Options panel was first activated

- fixed camera rotation bug that prevented camera rotations using keys

Patch 1.01:

- added Regenerate command to Options -> Controls that manually respawns player at the last activated spawn point

- fixed combat translation in console window for non-english languages

      @alcaray: with the Steam version, the patches are cumulative and are applied automatically. I don't know for the DRM-free version.

      I haven't had a lot of time to try it out yet, but one of the first annoying things I came across was how roof tops pop into view while your character is under the roof too often. If you're trying to interact with boxes and stuff along walls the roof has a tendency to cover everything so you can't see what you're doing. Can you adjust that so the roof stays missing for a wider area?

      You can't go backwards, you can only go forwards.
      I understand what happened at release. I'm enjoying the game.
      I would, however, take a look at Folk Tale comments. It's less of a game than what Dawn is, but becuase it was release as Early Access, no one is complaining.
      I hope in the future, your next release goes smoothly.

      Looting from chests througth walls of closed houses also looks weird

      patch 1.04 is out
      - fixed bug which stopped camera rotations while right mouse button was pressed and mouse cursor moved over panels, toolbar or any other window
      - increased sacrifice time bonus for 5x
      - dalek turrets that move toward player

      I know you guys caught a lot of rather deserved flak for your release, but I also respect your vision for this title. I can now play, I don't have the brown screen bug anymore so I look forwards to digging into it. Keep it up, you'll earn your fanbase. We'll respect your commitment to your product, so don't feel like you have to appease everyone, you simply won't. This is what EA and other major publishers fail to understand.

      Markus Persson originally felt he had failed with Minecraft because of all the negative comments and complaints that gathered with the expanding player base. His commitment turned it into what it is now.

      I know I have been spoilt. Would like to enquire if it is possible to make the Quest Log/Journal more descriptive. Currently I am unsure at which part of the objective I am at. The description at the start of the quest and at the different steps are all the same description. Which can be confusing if I stopped for a day or so.

      Also where can I find the high res game map? And new song?

      Thank you for the changes to the camera angle, it helps a lot. I have two additional suggestions: one is for a command to toggle run forward. That would help a lot for walking long distances. Two is for stackable items to automatically stack when they go into your inventory.

      These are some good beginnings to getting the game in shape. I have to say I probably won't get into it until there are some tool tips to actually give me some idea what stats mean and how the systems work in the game. Is this something that is actually planned for inclusion? A big part of any RPG is stats and numbers and without actually knowing what they mean and how they affect your character it's hard to navigate the game mechanics. Thanks and keep at it guys.
