Legends of Dawn IS GREENLIT!

Dreamatrix's fantasy action RPG, Legends of Dawn, has been selected as one of many great titles to be included in the February 26, 2013, round of Greenlit games by Valve Software's Steam.

It's been a long road to this point, and while we were prepared to forge ahead if Legends of Dawn wasn't selected in this round, we couldn't be happier that the fans have given us their support and made it a reality! Thanks to Valve and Steam, we'll be able to offer the fans a great digital distribution choice, which we're very excited about!

The final steps are being taken to get Legends of Dawn to the public, which just boils down to finalizing the voiceovers and touch-ups at this point. Even though we're near the finish line, we're going full-steam (haha) ahead to get everything wrapped up and into the hands of the fans as quickly as we can.

We here at Dreamatrix want to thank all of those who voted once again; without your support, this wouldn't have been possible.

P.S. After several weeks of delay finally we received the funding. We have chosen VO recording studio one week after KS campaign ended however now those guys took some other bigger project and we are negotiating with other studios trying to find the fastest solution. We'll post an update for all when VO recording begins.

On one hand, I really want you to create the game you want to make.

On the other: I tend to play games with the sound OFF and MY music playing... and being stuck just waiting for VO work is kinda annoying when I wanna play naaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaow. ;-)

So good luck and hope you make better progress soon!

@Nikki: "all this"? Really? The only thing that was explained was that payment from Kickstarter/Amazon took longer than expected and thus they could not get the voice over contract they wanted in time... that's really not that much... so what if they would not have explained it you would have been more pleased? That really does not make any sense to me

@Devs: Congrats on the Greenlight, looking forward to the finished game. Personally i would not mind getting a version of the game without the voiceover earlier and have it patched in later as the version for the general public, but that's me ^^

Ghost makes a great point; there's one game I play where the voiceovers are awful and it really takes away from the immersion. Yet another game I play has much better voiceovers and draws me into it more. I'd rather a subtitled game with a professional voiceover added later, if it has to be released soon, rather than detract from the game. I don't think anyone will mind waiting as long as they know what's up and don't feel like they've been abandoned.

      Congratulations for getting greenlighted :)

Just wanted to comment on the new voiceover team:

Please take your time chosing the voiceover team carefully. I (and that's my opinion) could wait a bit longer for the release but please chose a good team and not the next one available.
A bad voiceover can drastically reduce the ambience in a game.
But I believe that you will take care of it in a professional way as you want your 'baby' to be as successful as possible.

      Great, waiting for release.

Not sure about this, I mean stuff happens, but all this starts to sound kinda strange. Like an excuse because you are behind and obviously can't deliver the game in February. So just do the right thing and let us know when the game will be done.

You have 1 day to meet the deadline. Get moving!

Only kidding. Take as long as it needs as long as you keep us informed. Congratulations on being Greenlit.

Glad I contributed to Greenlight the game! :) But please take your time, we don´t want a rushed up game full of bugs and graphical glitches, we want a great experience as I am sure you can deliver.

      Take your time.
Better delayed and good than the opposite.
And cool that it worked with Steam.
