Legends Of Dawn is a 3D open-world RPG for PC, set in exciting new fantasy world.
1,968 backers pledged $46,536 to help bring this project to life.

Legends of Dawn – SUCCESS!

Over 2000 backers (counting PayPal pledgers)!

$47600 achieved (including PayPal)!

All backers contributed to this success and with Patrick Trautner upped pledge we crossed 45k and with it RPG Tools stretch goal, so he'll get complimentary Silver special thanks.
We received a lot of emails asking if you'll be able to join after the Kickstarter campaign ends. As we already said in updates: Yes you can. PayPal remains to be available at We do understand some of you don't have PayPal so we are looking to add more choices as well as pre order link through our web site.

For the small indie team this is extremely positive experience. A learning experience as well. We thought uploading the project to KS was all we needed to do. Boy, were we wrong… it is a full time job - two shifts - for a few of us. Luckily, in the last week of the campaign Seth Brown offered generous help with community management. Thank you, Seth.

8 of us are joining hands with hands, legs, wings and tails of all MPCs and monsters from the world of Narr to give you a huge collective hug and epic collective multilingual "Thank You!" which will vibrate forever throughout the Land of Narr!

You helped to spread the word and media is just starting to notice Legends of Dawn. We are receiving so many emails which would glue us to email clients for weeks or months if we didn't have deadlines to catch. Ahead of us is a lot of work:

- choosing a team to do voice overs and integrating them and paying for licenses (primary goal)

- adding content of 3 stretch goals

- final testing, including testing the changes integrated as per your requests

- finding online place for you to download your files when we prepare them

- finding printing services for physical tiers; Collector’s boxes, DVDs, books etc.

- sorting your addresses and finding ways to send you stuff into many corners of the world

- preparing RPG toolset (Beta)

If any of you are experienced with this and would like to suggest good 3rd party services we'd appreciate it very much.

The most important work of all is we have to continue to build up LoD community and raise our chances on Greenlight. The target we reached here is sufficient to finish the game and to do stretch goals work. However we do have to sell the game in order to secure our existence and development of Legends of Dawn sequels.
So please keep spreading the word and direct your friends to:

As soon as we publish LoD1 we'll continue our work on developing a sequel; Legends of Dawn2 - Danians. We'd like to bring LoD2 here as well, however it won't be in final phaze as was LoD1 and our targets will have to be much higher. How to achieve higher goals we don't know… we do hope you will join again and help us find out.

We'll keep you informed about at which stage we are with LoD1 here and in our forum:

Thanks once again, it was one of the best experiences we had as a team.

      Azghouls, we will consider

Hey - considering your thank you vibrated throughout Narr, can you incorporate that in the game as an Easter Egg?

Congratulations guys, I never doubted that you would achieve your highest dreams (and reach for ours as backers, hopefully). All I can do to help you is make a shoutout to BGamer magazine edition team and community (it's the major gaming magazine in Portugal) and to a good YouTube reviewer to help spreading the word after the game is out.

Congratulations once again, I guess it's a very good start having 2000+ enthusiast people in LoD community ;)

@Nick there is no visible storefront for the Humble Store, but they do offer an API for companies to sell games through them.

I would also like to suggest GoG for hosting the DRM free download.
Having Steam as an option as well would be nice but my preference would be GoG.
I've backed most of the Humble Indie Bundles so I have a library of games with them as well but I was unaware there is a "store". Do they allow you to buy indie games outside of the bundles and if so could someone provide a link? Honestly though I wish they'd just join forces with GoG for general store purposes (as opposed to the bundle campaigns) instead of competing.

@T.J. Brumfield: Idea 3 is a very good idea, in fact I have QA tested a few games for people on KS.

@Aurofinity & Dreamatrix: if you do decide to crowd-source some of the QA work id like to offer my help with it. PM if you want any help ( free help btw, got to build up a QA resume somehow ).

I'm glad to back a team from Zagreb, I haven't been there since 2000. I was with NATO and spent time in Bosnia peace keeping. Had very fond memories of opatija.

Congratulations I'm really looking forward to play LoD.

      1. Steam is a fantastic service. I hope everyone votes for this game on Steam Greenlight.
      2. GOG and Humble Store would be nice alternatives to allow a truly DRM-free experience. Though as much as I loathe DRM, I don't mind Steam since the DRM is light and Steam offers lots of great features and convenience.
      3. You could crowd-source some of the QA work by doing a closed-beta with project backers, and posting a QA checklist online.

The Humble Bundle website also enables developers a means for accessing downloadable copies for games.

Pleased it worked out - Definitely, one of the most interesting projects I've seen on Kickstarter and a major achievement for a small company, fingers crossed that it sells well on release.

Would be interested to know how the Kickstarter Greenlight is going, have of course put my tick in the box.

Congrats, Dreamatrix! It was a pleasure helping this game get made.. :-)

As a suggestion for a third-party service, please make it GOG!!
