Have a question?
Over a month since my last inquiry and still nothing from you guys. Over three months since you stated you would send the DRM-free version. Over five months since I first asked about this. And nothing but silence.
I guess that's it, then? No DRM-free release of LoD Reborn? Did you ever actually intend to release it?
Well, I think I'm done with you guys. Good luck in your future endeavors, but if this is how you treat your backers and customers, I'll spend my money elsewhere.
Alright, it's now the second of March. Over four months since the release of Reborn and over 2 months since you said you'd get a DRM-free version out. I've checked Humble and nothing in my account. So I guess it's not something you're actually going to do? How about some kind of reply here?
Okay guys, 4 months since my original query and almost 2 months since you said you'd get a DRM-free version out to us. How about an update here? If you're not going to bother, that's fine, then I can stop wasting my time checking on you and the game. But a little communication would be appreciated. If this is the way you want to treat your customers, then good luck. I'll go elsewhere for my gaming needs.
Wow, what a ringing silence on the topic. Not impressed, guys, not impressed.
So what's the word, guys? Have you delivered the DRM-free version yet? I checked my account on Humble (where I redeemed the original game) and nothing.
January only has a few more days remaining.
Guys, sorry for the delay, in january we will send DRM free version.
@Daryl. Late response, but yeah, I'm starting to think the same thing. Beginning to get the feeling there won't be a DRM-free release of this. C'mon guys, it's been over two months since I first asked about this.
No, I mean, "where the hell is it?" Sorry.
@Daryl: yes, meaning the release via Humble and not tied to a Steam account.
Hwy, guys, it's been about a month and a half. Any word on a DRM-free release? Anything?
Thanks for the response. I've no problem waiting if you guys plan on getting a DRM-free version out to us. :)
Ink Blot, we didn't manage syncronized release, because this depend not only on us, but we will inform you when we setup non-DRM version.
So us backers that decided to go the DRM-free route and redeemed on Humble... do we get a copy of LoD Reborn or are we out of luck if we don't want to use Steam?
Legends of Dawn Reborn Patch 2.0.6 released on Steam!
is it still shit?
Legends of Dawn Reborn is live on Steam!
Just for the record I was a very frustrated LOD backer and denounced the game as unplayable, but with this most recent patch I decided to give it another shot and we family and I are actually enjoying the game quite a lot.
At this point I guess the only outstanding issue that really bothers me during game play is the way they spin me around while I am talking to people and then I have to rotate the camera back where I wanted it every single time.
And Legends of Dawn Patch 1.52 is live!
Legends of Dawn Patch 1.51 is live!
Thx Mark, we sincerely appreciate your support!
I liked Legends of Dawn, and I appreciate that you are continuing to support it. I'm looking forward to Wave of Darkness. I'm sure you've learned some things along the way, and anticipate an even better experience the second time around. Thanks.
Legends of Dawn Patch 1.50 - Languages and Camera View Distance -Update#38
When you first announced Wave of Darkness in a Legends of Dawn update, I noted it as potentially interesting and set the link aside to look at more closely at a later date.
The ongoing barrage of "Wave of Darkness! Wave of Darkness! Wave of Darkness!!!" updates on the Legends of Dawn (note: NOT Wave of Darkness) project, however, has become exceedingly tiresome. I haven't gotten around to looking at the new project yet and I have now decided that I never will, because I refuse to endorse a company spamming the updates for one of their projects with ads for another project. This behavior has lost you a potential Wave of Darkness backer and, if I had already backed it, I would cancel my pledge.
Please stop spamming us with Wave of Darkness. Those who are interested will pledge to the new project and can get their Wave of Darkness news through the Wave of Darkness project. I would like to continue receiving Legends of Dawn news through the Legends of Dawn updates, but I'm on the verge of muting the project and giving up access to actual Legends of Dawn news just to silence the Wave of Darkness spam.
Archangel, we just have meetings to discuss the topic of your proposal about better click to move implementation.
ok, more suggestions: you implemented click to move in LoD, but you could make it good now. Like being able to click and hold to move around and being able to left click on enemy and have our character move there and attack him. Since combat is like in diablo, let us use move and attack scheme like in diablo.
Wave of Darkness - Solve the puzzle! New update!
Dustin, thanks for your comment, and we are glad to know that you get physical copy of the game, We are trying hard to improve things.
I did finally get my physical copy of the game, but it more than a day late and a dollar short. No way would I ever back with you guys again. You weren't transparent in what you did, telling people that things are coming or on the way for well over a year is no way to do business. I don't mind waiting awhile, even as long as you guys drug things out, but there damn well better be some kind of explanation. And giving an extra digital copy of a game is no way to say sorry. If there's any backers of the next kickstarter reading this, beware. No to mention the fact that they used backers as essentially alpha testers on a game that was supposed to be mostly complete when they backed. I'm not sure if you can go back that far in the comments but there were more than a few issues with the original kickstarter awards. More than a few patches required before things became playable. And I may not remember the details now, but there was also something about making the game available on steam before getting it to backers as well. Again, backers of the new campaign, watch out.
Legends of Dawn Patch 1.40! Live!!
Sam, thanks for your time and comment. We are trying to improve communications with backers.
In total, 37% of successfully funded projects have delivered a finished product to backers. Dreamatrix is among them.
All of the digital and physical rewards are completed and delivered. Collector's Box, DVD, CD, and t-shirts are now shipped! (Update #31)
And we will continue to improve LoD. New patch 1.40 coming for few days.
BACKERS BEWARE!!! Anyone researching their investment in WOD: I find it nauseating that this company took literal years to provide rewards and a quasi-playable game to us with practically no communication the entire time beyond "Soon". Then they further insult us by posting here on a near daily basis when its time to go back to the piggy bank. Take your money elsewhere.
Wave of Darkness - Empowered, Blessed and Cursed items! Update#35
Ha! Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. I'm shocked you even dare hold out your tin cup again.
Wave of Darkness 1st DAY - 15% - GREAT START!
Why weren't you able to play it?
I was never able to play this game why would I give you money for a new one?
Wave of Darkness Kickstarter campaign is now LIVE! We need your help, so please tell EVERYONE you know!
Dawn, we tried to fix that problem by adding a lot of tooltips (even VO), but it's far from ideal. In Wave of Darkness, tutorial area is added that explains basic gameplay components such as combat, item looting, area effectors, unlocking, runes, simple quests etc.
I do think the game tried to accomplish too much on its first try. I personnaly felt that it was too heavy..lot of parameters to understand lots of abilities, things to do. I don't know if it was because it was badly explained or too much. I felt drowned when i played this game. I do like complicated stuff though, but this game was too mechanical and made everything you tried to achieved..slow and painful but not on the enticing way.
Fantastic! I'm looking forward to taking the 64-bit engine out for a ride.
Patch 1.30 is out!
In case you don't know guy's :)
Torment needs some help from RPG fans. They need $11k in the next 6 days to hit their stretch goal to add a new area to the game and they are getting less than $1k a day lately.
Planescape: Torment was perhaps the greatest PC game of all time and this successor looks amazing. If you love RPGs and you haven't backed it yet, please do so.
My copy of the game arrived in the mail today and was a pleasant surprise. Thank you.
Thanks for the game. I look forward to trying it!
Thank you, Azghouls!
