Hotel Noir gets LACMA screening

Indeed, on September 25th , director Sebastian Gutierrez along with cast members Carla Gugino, Malin Akerman and Robert Forster will participate in a Q&A at a screening curated by critic Elvis Mitchell at the Los Angeles County Museum Of Art.

From the LACMA website:

Film Independent at LACMA
2012/b&w/97 min/digital | Scr/dir: Sebastian Gutierrez; w/ Danny Devito, Carla Gugino, Malin Akerman, Rosario Dawson, Rufus Sewell, Mandy Moore, Kevin Connelly, Robert Forster
Writer-director Sebastian Gutierrez has created a number of projects that function as ensemble comedy-dramas built around the chasm between men and women when it comes to dealing with sexuality. His newest film, Hotel Noir, constructed around the theme that fascinates him, is a period piece set in a seedy Los Angeles hotel in which the walls are as paper thin as the psyches of the guests and employees that fill its halls.

Gato >> Not that I can attend (busy in Asia) but it would be great if you could clarify who could attend the normal screening, the cost involved etc - there seems to be lots of misconceptions out there.

Gato posted: "$10 gets you into the LACMA screening". Wrong!! I called LACMA and they told me that the showing was only for members. I asked how much it would cost to join, and it seems there is a two teir membership requirement, and the cost is about $50 for just the LACMA plus an additional fee for the second membership. Hell, I would have paid that or more for a ticket to the premier!

There are only 6 people at most that are eligable (premiere VIP's and their guests) figure 50 cast and crew and general hanger-ons, who's gonna sit in the other seats? Or is this a real small theater?

It seem the "indie" folks that are running this operation have graduated to the level of the folks at the big studios! At least they're acting that way.

No. $5,000 or nothing. That's to bad, they would get a lot of business.

Is there any way someone who made a lesser pledge could by a ticket for the premier?
