Alabaster: The Bible Beautiful - Complete
Hello friends,
Alabaster is finished. After months of dreaming, designing, editing, and logistics - we couldn’t be more pleased with how the books turned out. First, we want to say thank you! You made this happen. This dream was realized because of your generosity and belief in this project, and we’re grateful for that.
Alabaster started out as a ‘what if?'. What if we created a space that explored the intersection of art, creativity and faith? We tossed it around with a few friends and they were into it. So we made couple of mock designs and took a couple photographs, just to see if there was anything there. Somewhere along the way we realized, “Oh, we’re actually doing this!" And then a friend created a kick-butt logo. And a couple photos turned into a ton of photos. And mock books were made. And a video was created. And a Kickstarter was launched. And sooner or later that ‘what if’ became what was actually happening. It was real. A set of books that we believe can help create a better conversation between art, beauty, and faith. We couldn’t be more excited.
To celebrate the completion of the books, we’ve created this video:
By now many of you have already received your copies of Alabaster. If you haven’t given us your shipping info yet or for any other questions please contact us at hello@alabasterco.com- we’re eager to get these books in your hands. We’re a small team, but we’re committed to being responsive and available to serve you.
We have other news- we’re on Amazon now! This is exciting for us as we seek to bring the conversation about the intersection of art, creativity and faith to more people. You’ve believed in Alabaster from the beginning, and you can help us on this new journey. We’d love to get reviews from all you amazing initial backers :) And if any of your friends are interested in getting a copy of their own, feel free to point them in that direction.

Alabaster: The Bible Beautiful is finished but Alabaster isn’t over. We are passionate about further exploring the intersection of art, creativity, and faith. For the rest of 2017 and the foreseeable future we want to pursue that passion by telling the stories of practicing artists and creators. If you’re interested in staying up to date on the next thing feel free to join our mailing list here.
Thank you again, friends. Alabaster would not have become a reality without you. Here’s to continuing the conversation.
Grace and peace,
Bryan Chung & Brian Chung
